The Chase - Luxury Hot Tub Retreat (Pets Welcomed)

LydiaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We booked our stay for a 30th birthday weekend with family, the house is stunning and has everything you need and more. Perfect for a celebration. The stay was perfect from start to finish, the only downside we would say was the 10am check out, which we feel is a bit too early especially when check in isn’t until 4pm - When asked for a later check out there was a charge even though there was nobody else due to stay that day. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would recommend Kimberley and her lovely home. Thank you for having us.

Family Celebration Venue

JanRating, 5 stars3 months ago
What a fantastic property and location We booked for my husbands 70 th for a the family. ( 11 in total) The kitchen was impressive with enough crockery, pans etc to cook the birthday gourmet evening meal and to seat us around a splendid dining table The children had a ball exploring all the rooms and playing hide and seek. Their bathtime was luxurious with bubbles in the roll top bath looking out over the valley Family games around the fire were a delight. The local walks pointed out by Catherine were child friendly ,although the steps on top of the wall on the river walk were a bit precarious for winter days We all enjoyed looking at the alpacas and angora goats The local pub catered for our large group for Sunday lunch. The Yorkshire puddings are enormous!! All in all a wonderful weekend. The accommodation and location were splendid. Thank you

Joseph was excellent, immediate responses to any questions regarding the property even a few weeks before our booking. Met us at the property and was very friendly and extremely helpful. The property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely book again when coming with a big group to Newcastle!

Bridge House - Luxury Riverside Home

RachelRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Beautiful house with lovely decorations/ extra touches such as candles, cosy blankets etc. The log burner made the house feel cosy and there was plenty of logs provided. The kitchen/dining area was very well equiped with plenty of plates etc. There were also lots of extras provided such as washing up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only thing we needed to buy was some dishwasher tablets. The bathroom was probably the one area that wasn't 5 star as the hot tap handle kept falling off. The shower was also very noisy and leaked so this could only be used when everyone was awake (if you have any older members in your party they will probably need to use the ensuite shower as the shower in the bathroom is over the bathtub which has very high sides so is tricky to get in/ out of). Overall a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. Thank you.

Murton Farm Steading

MaxineRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This house is absolutely insane. The photos do not do it justice, it’s stunning. We came for a hen weekend. we were not there to party, we wanted a chilled weekend and that is what we got. All the rooms are absolutely stunning. We were overwhelmed how nice the house was. The gym, hot tub and sauna just adds to how great the house is. I can’t forget the games room upstairs, that was an added bonus too and was just amazing. I would 100% recommend this house for any families or friends wanting a nice chilled weekend. Mark and Sarah are always there either by email or phone and are quick to sort out any issues. Each room is clean and stunning ready for you arriving. What an amazing house. We were all gutted to leave as it was so lovely. Will definitely be going back.

Woodstock Lodge

RuthRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a lovely few days away for new year. The house was huge and my little boy loved how much space he had to roam about in his walker. Our girls loved the pool table and all the games! (There was loads to choose from) the house was clean, well equiped and had everything we needed! We had a lovely time and visted beamish open air museum and Aglow at Bishop Auckland for a festive night. Which were about 25mins drive. The house was ready 2hours early so we were able to check in as soon as we arrived and we also requested a later checkout which was great for us meaning we had a relaxing morning until it was time to leave! I would definately recommend this place to anyone!! Xx

Show-time! Barnard Castle

JamesRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Peter was a great host who communicated very well. Very clear instructions on how to find the house, how to work heating and even how firm each mattress was! On arrival we noticed attachments for a baby gate which he came and fitted within 10 minutes of asking. The house was very spacious and well equipped. Beds and sofa's were very comfy. The homemade brownies left for us were unbelievable and a really nice treat! We would definitely stay again.

This is a gem of a place at a reasonable price. Lovely part of the UK - historic, fantastic grounds and comfortable accommodation. Very friendly hosts who willingly showed us around the walled garden and greenhouse. So peaceful- birdsong, a lake, well supplied accommodation. Everyone loved it! Thank you so much Eliza and Willy.

No. 20 The Headland

coralieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Lovely building. Plenty of space. Well decorated, uptodate-loved the master and kitchen. Very comfortable supportive beds. Downsides-no window covering in attic bedroom and some steep stairs with no handrail made it awkward for the children and upstairs WC very cosy but functional. Fab walks along the seafront/promenade. Beach 10 mins walk away-very big. Watch your step as dog poop galore-nothing to do with house owners but a shame. Walk the other way and great architecture and views across the working harbour. Host very communicative on a couple of slight issues. Recommended and hope to be back.

Renovated Farm Steadings in Dark Sky Park

EllieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
absolutely loved our little holiday at these cottages! it's hard finding accommodation for 12 of us but the steadings and the byres did not disappoint. the houses were beautiful, immaculate and comfy. only thing I was surprised about was that it was literally on a campsite- tents and caravans absolutely everywhere. they didn't cause any bother but it was no where near as private as we thought it would be. saying that though, we had a fabulous time. the hosts were super friendly, helpful and responsive. even left us some milk on arrival with a little care package❤️ houses were super well equipped and had everything we needed. we would absolutely love to come back!

Fantastic place to stay, beautiful enclosed garden which was brilliant for kids. Really well equipped kitchen with lots of crockery including plastic plates for kids, suitable dishes to make lasagnes and pies, sharp knives, salad bowl-everything we could possibly need! The house was very well insulated for being an old building. It has been beautifully renovated and decorated. We were treated to a hamper on arrival containing biscuits, crisps, Prosecco and other treats along with milk in the fridge. Would love to stay here again and would recommend it to everyone!
