Lake side cabin rentals in Chatuge Lake

Nice lake house to stay for vacation with my adult children and their families. We had space to all be together and also have a separate space for each family. Enjoyed morning coffee on the deck looking at lake and mountains and loved the fire pit, was great space to relax and share family laughs at end of the day.

Cabin 6 absolutely amazed us! The home was stunning, with an open layout and breathtaking lake views from every window—it felt like pure tranquility. Jennifer warmly greeted us, helped with parking, and even assisted in securing a last-minute boat rental. A tip: let Greg and Jennifer know in advance if you want to rent a pontoon to ensure availability. Greg suggested Marina Station and Hiawassee Brew, and we happily indulged in both. We also ventured to Bell Mountain, and the views of Hiawassee were beyond words—simply awe-inspiring and even tear-jerking. Staying at Tranquille is highly recommended for its serene beauty and thoughtful amenities, ensuring a truly relaxing getaway. It’s a perfect spot to recharge and take in nature’s magic!

We had a great, albeit too short time at Jan’s home. I live in AVL and this is my first time at Lake Santeetlah, and we loved it! The house is in a cove and has an empty lot next door, which meant for a verrry quiet two nights. It would be ideal for 1-2 couples or a small family. We took advantage of the paddleboards and explored some nearby coves on an almost empty lake, which was wonderful. Next time we might rent a pontoon. We also lucked out and saw synchronous fireflies both nights! Magical. I definitely recommend to folks who would expect to spend most time outside or on water and aren’t expecting a fancy party house. PS GPS will wrongly route you. Turn into Forest Lakes. The house number is correct.

Mario's place is a true mountain hideaway. Rustic and comfy with enough bathrooms for a large family. Big living room to gather in, and spacey enough to get some time to yourself if needed. The place is well-stocked and clean. The vibe is clutter free and relaxed, homey and spacious. Woodsy with lots of birdsong and no neighbors within sight of the house except way down the mountain far away. There wasn't really anything we needed that we didn't find...extra blankets and pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, etc. There was even a chalk marker to mark our initials on our water bottles. Really can't say enough great things about this stay, and don't have anything negative to say. Mario is an excellent host and really flexible, with very few rules other than to respect his property. Highly recommend all the way around!

Beautiful, amazing and perfect for a getaway with friends or romantic stay. Architecturally stunning. Great example of mid-century modern with lots of cut outs, glass and details. Not for the mobile challenged (stairs and a bit of a walk from the car parking) and lots of glass (you give some privacy with other house mates) so if that is not your thing, I wouldn't recommend it. Very quiet except when you open the doors to the waterfall. First day, some water cascading over but after a rain it was all white and mesmerizing. Beds are small but very comfortable. I was able to cook some great meals and they had a lot of items you don't always have, like aluminum foil. Took the hosts recommendation for a vineyard (distillery was the highlight) and a stop in Toccoa, GA. Just book it and enjoy.

The home was exactly as described and the hosts were extremely responsive. The dock was our favorite part - it had a great view and was super comfortable. Also, the basement with foosball and ping pong was a great place to hang out. We will be back again soon!

An amazing Cabin style home uniquely furnished with art collection.. Very comfortable beds and plenty of room all around. Awesome big, round dining table...great for gatherings and games. Beautiful sunrises. Super well maintained. Our only challenge was ensuring the front door did not lock us out accidently...but its an amazingly beautiful stained glass double door. Kitchen is fully stocked with durable dishwares and all needed utensils. A very relaxing and inviting living room from which you can enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery and mountain views.

Wow! We have stayed at multiple rentals, but this one is by far our favorite! ❤️ We loved the lake, pool, and privacy at this home. There are so many outdoor things to go see and do in the area, but the home was so nice you wouldn’t have to leave to enjoy a vacation! Really appreciated the personal touch of box fans available for use and easy check-in and check-out procedures! We will definitely return!

This is our second visit with family, friends and our pets to this cabin. Gorgeous scenery from every angle of the property. The lake and mountains are a great background for a vacation. Plenty of room inside for everyone. Lots of fun things on property to do- kayaking, swimming and fishing to name a few. We saw deer outside on the front lawn one morning. All the amenities you will need for a getaway no matter how long your stay is. Property was well taken care of inside and out. Our dogs had the best time running and playing and swimming in the lake. We stayed 10 days this time and it was not long enough. Waking up to the nature surrounding this cabin is unforgettable. Thanks To the host who is always helpful and quick to respond to any questions.

The cabin has a cozy feeling and is located nice and secluded at the end of a neighborhood, with plenty of privacy. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the outside but the bonfire looks like a great place to sit outside with family or friends. When booking, we didn’t realize the upstairs bedroom does not have a door, although this did not bother us because it was just my wife and I. We would go definitely come back here. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

I came to celebrate my anniversary with my wife. We weren’t sure we would be able to spend more than one night away, which was unfortunate, because this place was amazing. When we walked in both my wife and I thought that the this place was incredible and welcoming. The fairy lights over the bed gave it a super romantic feeling. To be honest it also had one of the best showers ever. It’s gigantic. There’s an overhead shower head a small hand held head on the wall and a bunch of mini shower heads right behind the shower seat . It was quiet and secluded surrounded by woods. There’s also a ton to do inside the community. Wayne is a super cool host the responded to any of my questions quickly and patiently. I’d definitely come back. Got to say it was a great Airbnb experience.

We are absolutely in love with this cabin!!!. We were looking for a place to stay for our 1st anniversary and this place was nothing but perfect. It’s also completely private with beautiful scenery everywhere you go. Even our pup had a blast in the water and the huge yard to run in. Do listen to there warnings about the road, go very slow when you go down or up the street especially after it rains and you may have problems with your cellular services in select places but once your connection to their WiFi at the house there is no issue in that vicinity. We did have one small problem pop up, that was out of anyone’s control mind you, but the host was very quick to respond and helpful in make the most out of our trip, which we appreciate very much. The pictures we see online don’t even do the cabin justice when comparing to in person. Thank y’all for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin for a few days, we all had a blast and can’t wait to be back one day🫶🏼

We had the best time at this adorable creekside cabin! From the moment we arrived, check-in was a breeze and the host was super communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The cabin was spotless and had so many thoughtful touches — even mini shampoo and conditioner! We loved the hot tub, canoeing on the pond, and spending lazy mornings on the porch swing bed listening to the creek. Our dogs, Basil and Sage, had an absolute blast swimming and exploring the property. The gated porch was perfect for keeping them safe while still enjoying the outdoors. We also grilled burgers, hung out under the string lights, and soaked up the peaceful vibe. Just a perfect little escape — we’d come back in a heartbeat!

Right when we opened the door the beautiful view greeted us from the dining room window. The cabin felt right at home with its rustic charm and a modern kitchen and gas grill outside sealed the deal. Loved the 3 level deck and we used the Hot Tub every night. We really appreciated how well stocked the towels and linens were. Overall we enjoyed our stay and can see ourselves coming back!

Do yourself a favor and stay here! This place is exactly as described - perfect couple’s retreat! Finally know the feeling of “Home Away From Home.” Every single thing you might need or want is at this place. I can’t think of one single detail overlooked. It even comes with two cute hiking sticks which actually came in handy on some of the more moderate hiking trails in the beautiful Big Canoe area. There are so many mountains we still have to see, but we could easily come back to Treetopia over and over again!!

We had a wonderful time hanging out on the lake and by the fire pit. The deck set up was great too. The inside was clean and comfortable. Thank you for everything.

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. Five star

My family rents a lake house every year and we all agreed this was our favorite one! The location was perfect- on a quiet part of the lake with a view of the mountains. The indoor and outdoor spaces were built for enjoying the lake and had everything we needed for a perfect lake getaway. Would definitely recommend and we can’t wait to go back!

This place was perfect! Super comfy, especially the bed and super soft sheets! Loved the screened in porch view, being elevated, looking down at the lake, felt so naturesque and private!

This tiny home is absolutely amazing. it's in the perfect location to just get away and relax. Me and my wife loved that there no cell service which gave up time to disconnect from everything. I would absolutely stay here again.
