Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Chartwell

We spent several weeks at Lisa’s place and loved every moment. Lisa was super communicative and always on hand if we had a question. We liked being situated in Melville which is easily walkable and has lots of unique places to visit, especially the cafes on 7th street, 27 Boxes and morning walks up on the Koppies which are a must if staying in the area. Thanks again Lisa for being a great host, we hope to stay again!

We felt right at home during our stay - the space was warm, beautifully set up, and had everything we needed, including more than enough blankets to keep us cozy. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made everything so seamless from start to finish. Thank you for such a lovely experience - we’d definitely love to return!

It was a pleasure staying at Charmaine’s. The house is spacious, very well equipped and comfortable - a real home away from home. The garden was also a welcome distraction for the kids. I would stay there again with pleasure. Thank you for everything Charmaine and Stefan we were so grateful for the house during a difficult few days. We felt safe and comfortable.

Really loved the place, beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. WiFi was good, he communicated well with us before and during the stay. TV set up for various apps to watch movies etc. lots of heaters available as it was cold at night, spare towels als oavailable. The only issues we had were that we lost power twice, once was an issue which was fixed within the hour and the second started as a local power shut off, but turned into an issue at the house and caused us to be cooking in the dark as was an all day problem. Antonio has said he is looking into solar power to prevent this in the future. Haven’t used this to knock down the 5 star rating as it’s part of South African life, and Antonio did respond very quickly both times. Only other minor thing is the cooking pots and pans could so with updating, they were hard to cook with as have lost their nice original coating. Thank you, we would stay again if in the area. Perfect for our family of 7.

This place was amazing! We loved it!

We had a wonderful stay, easily accessible and in a nice central location, close to shops and restaurants. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. The hosts were super friendly and responsive to questions.

Really enjoyed my stay! Nice simple and clean place close to the centre of Melville. High ceilings, uncluttered and had a very homely vibe. While the area is dark and occasionally rowdy at night the property felt secure and the area very relaxing and walkable during the day, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends or family. Was easy to check in whenever you arrive and Ubers never far away when you wanted to venture further afield.

The house backyard is very nice, pool area nice for a braai and hangout with friends or family, beautiful indeed, Calvin was also very helpful and making our stay convinient🤗

Had a great stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, well-kept, and exactly as shown in the photos. The price was unbeatable for the quality and comfort offered. Check-in was smooth, and the host was friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

We had a lovely couple of nights at this Airbnb - it was very lovely and much nicer than we expected! The grounds were beautiful, we wish it was warmer so we could have swum in the pool. Communication was great, easy check in. Nelly welcomed us to the property and was very helpful! Two beautiful dogs at the property as well. Was a little tricky to get an Uber but we had a car so all was good. Thank you so much, wish we had longer!

Terry was a pleasant nd most of all understand ing host,managed to arrange an early check in with him,as l had arrived early nd had no place to wait for the 3pm check ,but he was very accommodating....so l gve him 10/10.

fantastic little space...everything we needed veryp compact but amazing

Exactly as described in the pictures, close to everything we wanted to do. My kids really enjoyed themselves Only issue was the WiFi/fibre, it was on & off. However, this was communicated before we arrived. Overall, it was an excellent weekend and the host was the best 👌🏽

Louise was communicative and helpful. The apartment is well maintained and within walking distance to the Dainfern Mall. Stunning kitchen! Only small incident for me was that the gate to the complex is within the shopping center bounds, so an additional ticket was required to enter - no cost but it took a while before I found the exact entrance from Ways directions. Very tight security which is a welcome in JHB and Louise even provided helpful information should Uber or take-aways be used. Thanks for a great stay.
