Very peaceful location, the cottage is close to the owners house but is very independent. Large garden and very nice private pool. Cornelia is discreet but very available as needed. A haven of peace!

We had a wonderful stay at Gites de Cognac. I would really recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing vaccation in beautiful surroundings. Laban was very friendly, welcoming and easy going. Discrete and gave us time to just relax by ourselves while being present and helpful when we asked for advise on trips etc. The place consists of a big garden with a couple of beautiful old houses. Laban and his very friendly wife live in one of them and then it is five separate appartments spread out in the other houses. The guests share the common pool situated in the garden, just some meters from the houses. Even though we shared the place it felt kind of private since we had our own outside area that was separated from the rest of the guests. The house felt newly renovated while keeping many original details. It was perfectly cleaned, the kitchen was well equiped, and the house has nice areas for hanging out both inside and in the private outdoor area. Outside we had our own dinnertable with chairs as well as a relaxing seating area. We also had a grill and some portable sun chaires that we used when we prefered to hang out in the shadow and not by the pool. We really loved being at this beautiful relaxing place and even looked into if we could prolong our stay be rebooking our return tickets :) A big plus for all activities we could do. Play football, volleyball, boule, table tennis, basket ball. Great if you don't have the patience to relax by the pool the whole days. And the surroundings are very beautiful with miles and miles of grape fields. Great areas for running or bicycling.

We stayed with Andrew, Raisha, Alba and Jax in June. What a fantastic gite, gardens and lake. Lovely views, quiet and relaxing. The gite had all equipment required with a terrace for morning coffee. Fishing was brilliant. Hubby caught large catfish, common carp and an albino catfish!. Great place to relax and watch with a glass of wine. Andrew gave lots of fishing hints and tips to enable my husband to catch fish throughout the week. One very happy husband!! The pool was quiet and secluded with a lounging area. English TV available. Andrew and Raisha were fun to be with and were extremely hospitable. Raisha's cake and strawberry jam were delicious. We can highly recommend Andrew and Raisha's gite as one of the best places we have stayed at. They are very welcoming and attentive. Jackie & Dominic

We were a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids - 4y & a baby) and we had a splendid holiday. The reason why we chose this house, was because of the pictures. The house is clean and the decoration is amazing. The house and the garden are very well organized. You have an outside kitchen, a private (small) pool, 2 terraces and a huge garden. we had great times during the day, a coffee in the morning, a trip to a village next door, a swim in the afternoon and then a BBQ in the outdoor kitchen. To conclude, we had more then a lovely stay! Brian and Deb are perfect hosts, during the entire week we felt like we were at home. I would highly recommend a stay over here!

Beautiful accommodation, in a relaxing and beautiful countryside. Rod and Martin are very friendly, welcoming, responsive hosts. Charming touches were waiting for us at the cottage, flowers, wine, homemade bread as well as cookies, good eggs from the estate's chickens. We enjoyed everything, but especially Rod and Martin's smiles and kindness.

Great setting, relaxing and soothing. We slept very well. Alan is very friendly, available when needed. We will definitely be back when we return to the area.

We had a great time at Joëlle and her husband's place, they are really very friendly and always available if needed. We recommend this place 200%,you can book without a second thought. The pool is a real plus, excellent wifi and a beautiful TV room. It will be a great pleasure for us to return.

Thank you so much Andre! A lovely place to relax and treat on the waters. The small studio is fully equipped. Comfortable bed with a thick mattress.( important for those who have back pain). The balcony door leads to the terrace - to the garden. Very peaceful and quiet place. The host is very caring and foreseen. Great WIFI connection. Le petit studio est équipé de tout le nécessaire. Un lit confortable avec un matelas ferme (important pour ceux qui ont des douleurs au dos). Great stopover at Olivier's house. The small castle is superb and the wing where we were staying allows you to be 100% independent while enjoying the site where the hosts stay, and in particular the outdoors (access to the park, access to the swimming pool and the river that passes through the estate). The apartment itself is large and very well-equipped (the kitchen and bathroom have been redone recently). Last but not least, we were able to enjoy the warm welcome of Olivier who made sure that we did not miss anything during our stay. We'll be happy to come back if we return to the area.
