Nice private room, bathroom and living space with personal entrance and parking at back of house. Access to back porch and yard nestled 14 miles from beaver stadium and within minutes of many great destinations.
“This is a nice rental! Very clean and comfortable. The host lives in part of the home, but is unobtrusive. The entrance into the rental room is private and there is a private bathroom directly attached to the bedroom. Everything was nice and clean. The host provided bottled water, provisions for making coffee or tea, and a few snacks. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were soft and clean, and the shower was great! I would stay again if able.”
Located in Fisherman's Paradise, this quaint little home is perfect for anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway. With Spring Creek directly across the street, it's great for fishing or just enjoying the outdoors from the patio and fire pit area. Inside is a small but cozy space with a rustic feel and modern amenities. Enjoy the view and the quiet with little to no traffic. We are 15 minutes from Penn State's campus so you really get the best of both worlds. We Are!
“I have a soft spot in my heart for Central Pennsylvania, in particular, the Nittany Valley near Waddle, where my grandparents farm was, along with Bellefonte and Spring Creek. As children, my brother and I were taken by my grandparents and my father to the bridge at Talleyrand Park to feed the trout, and Kathy, my bride, and I have taken our sons and grandchildren there now also. In fact, Kathy and I first visited the spot together right after I asked her to marry me on my grandparent's farm some 19 years ago now. As a result, we were really pleased to find John and Paige's home, which is nestled up against a hill across from Spring creek just down from Fisherman's Paradise to be available on Air B&B. Cozy Cabin is a perfect description and it was the perfect place for Kathy and I to relax, visit with my Aunt, and enjoy the view and the sounds of the creek just across the road from us. The accommodations were very comfortable and we felt right at home. The Penn State theme was really appreciated as my Dad was a graduate and worked his entire career for the University. Kathy, in particular liked that the kitchen knives were sharp. That probably sounds like a silly little thing, but trying to fix a meal or a snack with a dull knife can be a pain in the butt and we encounter that a lot in places we stay. So, while it is not a deal breaker, it is certainly a deal enhancer that was appreciated. Bottom line, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back sometime.”
We are within walking distance to downtown Historic Victorian Bellefonte. We have a famous Distillery (Big Spring Spirits) and Hard Cidery (Good Intent) also within walking distance of our home. We are also only 13 minutes away from State College, Home of Penn State University and the Nittany Lions! We have Guinness the Husky as our welcoming party.
“Trey and his wife were great hosts. Their son and dog are priceless. Just a really nice family. You won’t regret staying here.”
