Our stay was absolutely incredible. We booked this trip for a Christmas getaway and to make vision boards for the new year. We felt refreshed and comfortable staying in this beautiful home. It was a bit confusing at first to understand how to pull in for parking but it was very simple once we figured it out! The lake was absolutely stunning and peaceful. There's also nearby restaurants and a place to play pickleball. The location feels like you're in your own little town. We ran into two maintenance issues (one completely out of anyone's control) but Jen was so responsive and everything was resolved quickly! We loved our stay and hope to stay again in the future.

Our stay at Shelley's place was lovely! The house is so spacious, was sparkling clean, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the grill and amazing views. It's located in a quiet and peaceful area, perfect to relax and have a good night's sleep. When I first saw the listing, I was a bit concerned about how comfortable the sofa bed in bedroom 4 would be. It turned out that I picked this room for me and my husband: it's spacious, has its own bathroom and the bed is VERY comfy, in addition to the best views! The other bedrooms were also great, cozy and with perfect levels privacy. Everyone was incredibly pleased with the accommodations. Communication with Shelley was excellent, she is a fantastic host!

Airbnb Review: A Perfect Holiday Retreat for the Whole Family We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful Airbnb from December 22nd to December 28th, and it was truly a magical experience! My wife, Monica, and I stayed here with our four children, my mom, dad, sister, and her teenage son. The house had plenty of space for everyone to relax, do their own thing, and still come together for quality family time. The movie theater was a hit with the kids and teens, giving them their own cozy space to enjoy their favorite films. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed unwinding by the fire pit, where making s’mores under the stars became a memorable holiday tradition. Our Christmas dinner on the BBQ grill was an absolute highlight. The outdoor space made it easy to gather as a family while enjoying delicious food and the peaceful surroundings. I stayed at Debbie’s lake house with friends and family over New Years and we were impressed. Her home is well finished with a stocked kitchen and large enough sofa to lounge. We all travel together frequently to AirBnB rentals and everyone in our group commented that this home was one of the cleanest we’ve rented. Hot tub, fireplace, board games, views of the lake, outdoor kitchen and a large kitchen for family meals…a great setting for quality time with your group. Note is there aren’t TVs in the bedrooms, so you may want to bring a tablet if you like to watch tv in bed. We would rent here again!

Excellent stay! Even thouhj the lake is dry, we had a blast exploring the dry lake bed and just lounging around the house. The hosts were wonderful - quick to respond and so accommodating! Great spot for our 3 families for a long weekend.

Tim was a wonderful host. He was responsive during the holiday and that is extremely appreciated. The lake was significantly lower than expected but nothing can be done about Texas drought! Overall, me and my family had a great time and got to see a lot of wildlife!

This was my wife and I second time and we were blown away again. nothing is like that view from either decks. we love sitting outside and just listening to the sounds. after coming here 09/2023 we knew we had to come back. Best part was we were able to bring the pups. Even our supper high energy girl was super relaxed and they both loved all the new smells. we will be back many more times!

This was our second year at Shady Shores and as always it didn't disappoint. We had a great time!

The lake house was wonderful for my wife, son and I. We swam, fished and enjoyed the starlit dock. David was very helpful and welcoming. We will certainly be back soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was extremely clean and very well appointed. We spent most of our time at the fire pit and outside areas and felt at peace. Jay was super responsive to all our needs and easy to contact. We definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway.

We stayed at Ben's place because we wanted to spend time at Lake Somerville State Park. The park is basically just around the corner , so this Airbnb was the perfect choice. The house is very attractive and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the back porch and the deck down by the water. There was an issue with the thermostat, which Ben took care of immediately. We would definitely stay there again.

This property is impeccable!! Better than pictures or descriptions. Had so many extra little welcoming touches; welcome note, snacks and water were much appreciated!! Everything in the house is so cute and well designed. Loved being able to dim so many of the lights. The large communal table was a fantastic family spot for visiting and games. Looking forward to returning next year!!

My teenaged son and I were looking for some low-key downtime and enjoyed our stay here. He’s a fisherman, and we were surprised at how low the lake was. Got out in the kayaks, and even in the middle it was only a foot or two deep, which we didn’t expect. No fish as a result, but we enjoyed seeing the pelicans on the lake, using the fire pit, visiting the nearby state parks, and strolling around town. Overall a comfortable stay!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at Jessica’s . The views of the lake were awesome and the house was comfortable and peaceful.

I stayed at Joni's Airbnb for the weekend of my wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. Joni was incredibly accommodating, allowing my bridesmaids to do their hair and makeup at her home, which made our day so much easier. Her place is also dog-friendly, which meant I could have my pups nearby, something that meant a lot to me. The home had everything we needed, and Joni went above and beyond as a host. She's an excellent communicator, always ensuring we were taken care of and responding quickly whenever we had questions. The house itself was lovely, surrounded by nature with just the right amount of privacy. It felt peaceful yet still convenient for everything we needed during such a special weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend Joni’s place to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped stay with a thoughtful host.
