We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

An unbeatable experience. The house is super complete and very easy to access. Josetxo is a 10-star host, very attentive to making sure we didn't miss anything and that we had a perfect weekend. They had some welcome gifts for us and everything was spotless. We can't wait to come back!

A great home to explore the Geres area and park. Beautiful view from the porch, convenient living room and a kitchen with everything you will need for a short or long stay. The bedrooms are spacious and linen comfortable. The house was spotless clean and Margarida was quick to respond to any question we had. Highly recommend if you plan to visit the Geres area.

Huge house, 10 rooms almost all with their own bathroom, well sized. Huge common areas to enjoy, including a pool. Dining room for 20 people Some kind of loud dips, but nothing important. We'll probably do it again.

Spectacular house in an idyllic setting with views to frame. In addition, communication with Oscar was very smooth and satisfactory for us. In short, highly recommended!!

Our stay there was fantastic. The house is new, clean and very spacious and comfortable. In addition, José Carlos and his family were very kind. The area is also very nice, both the beach and its surroundings.

The house exceeded expectations and Mrs. Ana is a friendly person.

On our arrival Luis was waiting for us with a big smile and a basket prepared with some details. He told us where there were parties, flea markets... Always attentive. Extraordinary location if you want privacy, great farm for pets. And 10 minutes from everything you want to see in this area. I'll be back for sure.

Francisco and Luísa treated us wonderfully, they are two very kind and lovely gentlemen. As for the accommodation, it is a restored house and is spectacular, with all the amenities a well-equipped house can offer. Everything was super clean and super tidy. We will certainly repeat, as the area is very quiet and close to numerous coves and numerous restaurants. Thank you Luisa and Francisco!!

we were greeted by his mother, who was extremely kind and clear in the information. The region is very beautiful and with several activities to do with nature. Mercado, bakery, pharmacy all near. The main point is the silence, the peace. all we needed to rest and rest.

Beny was really helpful and responded to our changing schedule - we were walking the Camino and the very hot weather slowed us down. Really helpful.

The house is a stand alone accomodation with a lovely front terrace surrounded by fields....if you love nature, this is it...close by is a super restsurant if you don't feel like cooking and about 15 min max a coffee shop...so basically you don't need anything else...

We stayed in this little house for a weekend for a nearby wedding and the experience was excellent. From the first moment, communication with Raquel was very pleasant, and her aunt Rosa — who welcomed us in person — was charming. The accommodation was just as described in the listing: very well furnished, clean and cozy. The pellet stove heats the house super fast, which was a plus. Although a living room as such is somewhat lacking, the environment more than makes up for it: the village is surrounded by beautiful landscapes, ideal for taking walks and disconnecting. In addition, there are some very affectionate and playful dogs that come to greet you and make the stay even more special. The area is very quiet and perfect for a getaway. We would definitely come back another time to enjoy everything the place has to offer with more peace and quiet. Thank you for everything!

everything perfect, very quiet village and in the middle of nature

Few words reflect how good our stay at Iris D'Arga was. João and Astrid are kind hosts who make you feel at home from an early age. The house is beautiful and well furnished and equipped, inspiring even. Pool is great for spending great summer afternoons. And Serra D'Arga, this one, is magnificent. For those who like trails, bicycles, waterfalls, fauna, etc., I recommend 200%. If you don't like any of this, the recommendation is the same because what's missing is things to do around Covas. In short, super recommended and we still came with a great memory of wood from such a wise workshop done with João.

Everything was perfect and with all the amenities explained in the listing. Isabelle has always been responsive to any need. Their lovely and close parents, they made us feel very comfortable.

We travelled in a group of 5 , 2 couples +1 adult. The host living in the next house seems only speak Portuguese but very friendly. You can write in English via messaging apps. Communication was not an issue at all

We love the house, extremely clean and organized. Very beautiful decoration. Entire house for long stays. We only stayed 1 night but we'll be back. Ana was very kind and gave us several tips about the city. I highly recommend it.

The house is amazing. The views are spectacular and you can reach the center of Baiona in ten minutes. Rita is charming and has details with her guests. It's nice to arrive and find a basket full of fruit, coffee, and milk.Todo is super clean and tastefully decorated. The experience has been highly recommended We'll be back for sure .

Fantastic place, so very well equipped and great location. We loved it here and would love to stay again. We had a problem with the boiler when we arrived and Marta was quick To get it working again. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

A cozy house, in a quiet area, with a beautiful and well-used property. The area has many beaches and the town has a lot of life. Maria José was always attentive and helped us. Highly recommended!

We have had an excellent time. The town of Gerês and São Bento da Porta Aberta provided a quiet visit to Gerês and São Bento da Porta Aberta. Great location with restaurants and mini-markets nearby so we can make/have lunch. The house allows us to go hiking or long runs in the middle of nature observing small streams and beautiful landscapes. It was a very good experience. The house was in great condition and has all the conditions to receive families. Thanks to Sara who guided us in our stay and who didn't let us miss anything.
