Cabin vacation rentals in Cardiff Bay

We had a great stay .. first time fishing for us and we caught a few 😊.

We had a lovely stay at the Heron lodge, I felt like Pocahontas! So much wildlife, had a resident Pheasant I named Hew, a mink, bats, frogs, fish so many different birds. It was beautiful. The hot tub was fantastic, the cabin was compact but didn’t feel small. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom was a decent size. There was an onsite shop, the coffee machine was out of order however, one of the lovely staff made me a nice coffee for the drive home. Late check in was very easy and Owen was really responsive to messages regarding late arrival. All in all, 10/10 for a peaceful relaxing stay! Will recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Had fantastic stay at the lodge, which is very much on the lake! We enjoyed amazing views both during the day, and at night watching the stars. We had a lovely day out at Cefn Mably farm, very short walk from the lodge. A great Birthday weekend!

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, the place was spotless and well equipped. Beautiful views and lovely locals walks. Cosy local pub just a short walk away. Would 100% recommend for a quiet getaway! Thanks again Owen.

Absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the Cefn Mably Lakes cabins! The location is gorgeous, and the cabin is super cute, with everything you need. The wildlife is stunning, we saw so many frogs, fish, birds and even an Otter we named Oscar! The hot tub was perfect too, lovely to go in day or night. Owen’s really helpful, and replied almost instantly. We can’t thank you enough, would definitely recommend!

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Lodge on the Lake, Cefn Mably Lakes. The guys in Reception were very helpful checking us in, nice little shop and cafe at reception. Lodge itself is in a pretty picturesque peaceful location. Very private with the other lodges position a good distance away, lovely lake my husband caught 4 fish biggest being 24lb, we enjoyed beautiful weather so made the most of the outside space with a lovely hot tub, chairs, tables, bbq ( we took our folding sun loungers which were a great addition on the private secluded decking enjoying the sunshine, The lodge had everything you needed, fulls equipped comfortable and bijoux. All in all we will certainly go back.. can’t believe we were only 30 mins from our home it felt like we were in Cornwall. Highly recommended.

The Daffodil cottage is absolutely lovey Clean Fresh and fully equipped with everything needed for our short stay. We stayed with our four pomeranians and were more than impressed with the private fenced garden keeping them safe and secure. Our Host Diane was extremely friendly and very accommodating bringing us fresh milk on our arrival. Would highly recommend this accommodation and would most definitely book again

We had a wonderful stay at the lodges – the views across the valley were absolutely stunning, and we were even greeted by some friendly goats! We were lucky to enjoy beautiful weather, which made our time there even more special. The lodges are tucked away behind the main property, so they’re a bit hidden from the road, but once found, they offer a peaceful and private retreat. On arrival, the lodges were open with keys in the door, giving a relaxed and welcoming feel. Although initial communication through the app was slow, the host came by shortly after check-in to say hello and was friendly and helpful. He gave us the space to settle in and enjoy our stay, which suited us perfectly. Each lodge is a mirror image of the other and connected by a shared decking area, complete with a hot tub and benches—perfect for alfresco dining and soaking in the views. A lovely, laid-back escape!

Wow wow wow! We had such a wonderful time at The Roost, and we can’t wait to visit again! Kath has done an amazing job making her place warm (even in FREEZING weather), cosy, and welcoming, there were so many thoughtful little touches that surprised us that it will be difficult to mention them all! We stayed at The Roost for a short Valentine’s break, and I wanted something different to surprise my boyfriend with. Everything was of exceptional quality, including super warm and cosy bedding, sparkling clean shower rooms, a very cool kitchen area with board games provided, environmentally friendly toilet roll and cleaning products, and also a great set-up for bikes, with bike racks inside the cabins and a bike wash area. A personal highlight was the mouthwatering homemade Welsh cakes left for us in our cabin, these were delicious and I could definitely have over-indulged! Kath was incredibly accommodating to us when the weather forecast had predicted a very bad storm, reaching out to check if we needed to postpone our trip, and then allowing us to do this at no extra cost. All in all, we had a superb time and can’t wait to visit again (hopefully when the weather is warmer!)

Beautiful place, nice peaceful getaway. Exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Stunning views, was amazing to sit by the firepit at night and look out across the mountains. Definitely enjoyed the visits from Maddie, such a friendly dog. The lodge was comfortable and exactly as advertised. Absolutely loved it

Kim and Neil were the perfect hosts and made me feel incredibly welcome during my stay. The accommodation had everything I needed and served as a fantastic base for walking in the Welsh Hills. I’m particularly grateful to them for supporting my booking at such short notice after another host had let me down, so thanks to them. I was able to still enjoy my trip. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area and certainly look forward to coming back again soon.

We have just returned from staying in Layla’s lodge for 2 nights with our 4 children. Our children loved staying in the lodge and so did we! The lodge is warm and very clean! There are lots of plugs for charging phones etc! You have a table out the front and private area where the children can play. We had a campfire under the barn the first night which Craig had set out for us. We also walked to the holly bush for food one evening and the food is beautiful! Craig was so attentive and was always on hand if needed anything. We are hoping to come back!

We wanted a peaceful and local night away and this was just perfect! It was absolutely spotless and stylishly decorated, with beautiful views out of the enormous front windows, enjoyable in all the Welsh weathers! Would highly recommend!
