Family-friendly vacation rentals in Carcavelos beach

We had a wonderful time at Jorge’s place. The house is wonderful, has everything you need. The pictures really don’t do it justice! It’s huge and beautiful and very comfortable. We travelled with our 2 young children (2 &4) and it was perfect. The outside space is also lovely, nice pool and outside seating with sun or shade. The area was lovely, supermarkets etc nearby. Also went to an amazing beach and restaurant on Jorge’s recommendation. Communication throughout was easy and helpful. They even stocked the fridge for us with dinner on our first night. Couldn’t ask for more, thank you! We’ll be back.

Excellent stay in the heart of Lisbon. Ariane welcomed us in an extremely kind and considerate way to her apartment, despite a later arrival than expected. Everything is done to feel right at home, it lacks neither space nor comfort or equipment. The very central area is ideal for visiting Lisbon, and quiet at night even though it may seem a little less secure than other areas of Lisbon. just note that the stairs are a little steep but as I think all over the old center of Lisbon. Thanks again to Ariane for the wonderful stay.

Miguel was very friendly and flexible with the check in and check out time. The apartment is large with a great view! We had a lovely stay.

This is my third time staying here. The flat is extremely convenient, being close to bus stops, a subway station, restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. It is fully equipped with all the necessary furniture and appliances. Thanks to close communication with Jorge, I had a comfortable and worry-free stay this time too. I sincerely appreciate his support and hospitality. I would like to recommend this flat to everyone. I am looking forward to repeating my stay here in the near future.

This is the second time me and my family stayed at Paulo's place because we had an excellent stay the first time around. With young kids its good to know in advance that I'm going to stay at a great place, plenty of space for the the kids to play around and also unbeatable area with super market literally just below, plenty of restaurants and bars, and the beach a less than 10 minute walk. Since I go often to Lisbon to visit family, it is good to know that we have an excellent and reliable place to stay close by.

Great 5 night stay. The venue matched the photos, Sandra was a great host and the venue was comfortable and clean. Lovely swimming pool and the area was safe and quiet for lovely quiet time in the sun.

Villa Bali is a beautiful home and a short distance from many places we visited during our stay. We were given clear direction on how to access the property. The home was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The host is very kind and answered all of our questions. We will definitely visit again.

Patricia was fantastic and very responsive. Sparrows nest in Centra was right in the middle of everything but still felt private. Very walkable to everywhere we wanted to be. The home is comfortable and beautiful and we had a great day. Would definitely stay there again.

Pedro's flat was clean, large and exactly like pictures and description. Fast internet...at least 200Mbs d/u speed and direct access to router if one needs to plug directly via ethernet. The location in Alfama is very central and is on main road with the 28 trolley running directly in front of the building. The noise from street and trolley is minimal. For those who don't know Lisbon, the city in extremely hilly and Alfama even more, so be aware that you will be walking uphill or up stairs very often if you choose this neighborhood. There is another vacation rental upstairs from the flat and depending on how those guests may walk, there could be noise as it is an older building with wood floors. We were aware of small shower...which is accurate...but the volume/pressure of water and very hot temperatures made the shower better than most. Overall, Pedro's flat is great choice and met all expectations.

My friends and I stayed at Suzana and Nuno’s apartment for 7 nights. The place is spacious, clean, well-equipped with everything you might need and incredibly comfortable. One of the little details we loved was their amazing collection of CDs and movies. The apartment is also in a great location, making it easy to explore Lisbon. Nuno was a great host—kind, thoughtful and always willing to help. He welcomed us, showed us around the apartment, and gave us useful tips for getting around the city. Since our flight was late, he generously let us stay as long as we needed on check-out day so we wouldn’t have to wander around with our suitcases. We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to come back. If you’re visiting Lisbon, we highly recommend Suzana and Nuno’s place—you’ll feel right at home!

We had a great time in Cascais. The bright, sunny spot and parking right outside the door were major plus points. It was the perfect size for four adults. The kitchen was spacious and there was plenty of seating for everyone. We were able to bring the dogs and there were lots of beautiful places to walk and visit in the area.

Juan was super to work with and we enjoyed our stay here. He was very communicative and pointed us to good restaurants and the supermarket. It is in a great location a few blocks from the Castelo and close to attractions, the local Pingo Doce supermarket (important for a longer stay!) and restaurants. Comfortable bed. There is no washer so factor that in, laundromats are a 10 minute walk away. And it is not suitable for someone who cannot manage a very narrow staircase. The apartment is cozy, it’s a great fit for someone looking to spend most of their time exploring Lisbon, not so much for spending long periods indoors. A Keurig would be a nice add-on. Quiet at night, can be loud during the day because of tourists. In short, a great place for 1 or 2 people to explore Lisboa from and it met our needs well. If you plan on spending most of your time indoors seek a larger apartment.

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for our family vacation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of, with spacious bedrooms, a large family room and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and pool were also lovely - private and quiet and a great place to hang out. The beach and train station were both a short walk, and Estoril is well-situated for trips to Lisbon and Cascais or to explore towns along the coast. Catarina was a fantastic host and Dona Gilda helped with anything we needed during the stay.

This Airbnb is amazing! It's like being at home. The apartment is spacious, bright, clean, tidy, and very cozy. It has everything you need, including tableware, water sets, and coffee cups. The host is so friendly, warm, generous, and easy to communicate with. The price is very reasonable. I strongly recommend it to people who plan to have a short visit to or to spend a long time vacation in Lisbon. IT IS FEELS LIKE HOME!

The house was beautiful. Dina was very helpful along with instructions for the house she included local restaurants and things to do. She was very responsive answered right way whenever I had a question. She went out of her way to try and help us with a parking ticket we ended up getting. I would definitely recommend the house.

In the same estate is the house of the host and the guest house but both independent (only the exit of the estate is shared). The house fully corresponds to what was advertised. We stayed in New Year and therefore did not use the pool but it was available and made the view very pleasant from the living room. The lounge really is the porch of the guesthouse. In winter it is closed with transparent plastic blinds and the space is acclimated with the stove and a heater. It is a little cold space but if you sit by the stove and with a blanket you can have a good green vinho. 😉 The house is located in an elevated, quiet area and you can park in the gate. You can walk to the center of Sintra in just 30 minutes, or get close by car (10 minutes) and pay an ORA ticket for 13 euros for the whole day. It only takes 20 minutes by car to Lisbon or Cascais. The hostess was always attentive and helped us with everything. Thank you. 🙂

Impeccable exterior for this kind of rental, sun, swimming pool, terrace, fireplace-barbecue, house "like at home" with everything you need to live there, well equipped with household electronics, quiet despite the "Portuguese" dogs who often bark at night but almost not in our case, quiet in the neighborhood, the market 100m from the house and supermarkets that are not very far either, my favorite beach (Princesa) 5 minutes by car.

Paula and Anselmo were very sympathetic and hospitable hosts, and we highly recommend their home! Communication was fast and smooth. We received a warm welcome and they told us about the surroundings with shops and restaurants. The area is quiet and we slept well, which was very important as we travelled for a triathlon race in Cascais. Thank you for a thoroughly nice stay Paula and Anselmo!

Mauricio’s house is exceptional – beautiful, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay with friends. Was a very nice place to stay and ideal for two families

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

Exceptional views of the ocean and sunset every night. Very good times with the family in the unmissable place of the house: the pool, a real pleasure when you wake up, at noon for an aperitif, and in the evening when you return from the beach!!
