Mrs. Marta and Caramelo are excellent hosts, Mrs. Martita is very kind and always cares because one is well fed, and Caramelo to cheer up the atmosphere even more. The location of the lodging with the best views of the mountain range.

Where do I start, it was a wonderful experience. Everything about shumaq was amazing. The owners were wonderful and assisted with everything I needed. Love the place and would definitely recommend to anyone and would definitely be back soon 🙌🏻

This stay was absolutely beautiful, very secluded and peaceful. The host was very responsive especially with requesting a room upgrade. Note that if you want the balcony room listed in the pictures you'll have to request it when you book, but its a little bit cheaper to upgrade when you get there if its not in the busy season (Dec-Mar). The breakfast was delicious and if you need to leave early they offer to make you a sandwich to go. There's also a tequila distillery on the property with a wonderful bartender, if you like tequila this will be the best tequila you'll have. I bought a bottle and the price is very reasonable. Nothing bad to say about this stay, I highly recommend it if you're staying in Caraz even for a night.

This is one of those gems you always hope to find, but are really rare. What a beautiful place and such lovely people. Our stay was everything we hoped for, with great care from the family at the farm and helpful assistance with Ernesto via Airbnb. The views from the bedroom are stunning and it's a perfect place to base yourself to explore the area. It's a plus if you like dogs and kids, like us! We hope to return one day.

The room was amazing, comfortable, and with everything you need to rest after a day of walking. It is close to the city center which allows you to stroll around the city at any time. Communication with Sergio was excellent, and there was flexibility with check-in and check-out times. Access to common areas like the kitchen is a plus worthwhile. Would definitely come again! Recommended 💫 P.S. If you are pet friendly you will love it as Belén is a very affectionate dog.

We had a nice experience at Raul's place. The lodge's architecture is unique to the area. It's modern and cozy. It has a very spacious kitchen-dining room with floor to ceiling windows. We definitely recommend it.

Yola's house is a perfect camp base to go to the amazing Laguna Parón or Pampacocha hikes. . The rooms have private bathroom. Nice and clean. Yola and Willy are working hard learning English and gathering more touring guide knowledge in order to assist the travelers better. They are also making some improvement in the house and the worker's are quiet and respectful. I really enjoyed my time in Caraz, a safe town and warm people.
