House vacation rentals in Caol

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Recently visited Pleasant Hill for Hen Weekend. We had previously been let down by another house and Chris was extremely helpful and reassuring. 17 of us stayed for the weekend and the house was perfect for what we needed it for. Chris was in constant contact with me, gave plenty of recommendations for local amenities and attractions and was flexible on check in and check out times. For such a large party, buying food was a concern of mines but he suggested we do an online shop beforehand and offered to collect it and put it away for us before we arrived. This really was a massive help and greatly appreciated, it was one less worry and concern I had in the run up to the weekend. Our bride and all guests had a fantastic weekend. Thank you!

We had a lovely long weekend at Tarken House. The views are beautiful. The house is spacious, well stocked and easily accommodated the 10 of us, all adults. House was lovely and warm and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and good size en-suites. Jonathon was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend Tarken House and definitely be back again.

Fantastic cottage for 2. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Loacation is great with easy walking distance to Centre of town. Would stay again.

We used the house as a base for our motorcycle touring holiday and it was fantastic. We had everything we needed and absolutely no issues or concerns throughout our stay. Definitely worth the money and the location and parking couldn't have been better.

Great place to stay, at high tide you feel like your right on the firth and at low tide there is a lot of area to walk. It's quite and peaceful, and was the perfect place for me and my family to relax whilst we explored Inverness, Loch Ness and the highlands

Bryce was so helpful in directions and prompt in sending instructions all the time. The place is exactly like the pictures shown, neighborhood is very calm and its a well built community place. I would recommend anyone this place for sure and will be back here when i visit Scotland next time. Only thing to consider is there are only few local shops and restaurants but if you go on time and get what you want its great place to connect for places like Inverness and Isle of skye from there. Also please note that the check-out time is 10am not like your usual 11 or 12 noon as in hotel. However Bryce was so considerable to extend the time a bit based on our last minute request. We had a great week in Alison's cottage and were fortunate to have warm, sunny weather all week. There's lots to do in the area. We went across to Skye several times. Alison was a great host, always responsive and helpful.

The house was booked for 12 friends, we all had a great stay. The garden was beautiful and we spent most time outside due to the beautiful weather. The rooms were all great sizes and were very clean on arrival. The space in the house was great for the event, and everyone in the party felt so at home in the house. The kitchen was spacious and had everything that you would need. Bathrooms were well kept, and the hosts had left plenty of towels for hotub. The games room was perfect for evening entertainment and we had great laughs in there during our stay. The house location is a 5 min drive from the ferry terminal and 5 min drive into dunoon town. Would highly recommend booking this for a weekend away!

We had a lovely weekend at The Squirrels, it was the perfect setting for a get together with friends. We all slept amazingly as the beds are soo comfortable and Sarah, the host, was very helpful and responded quickly when we had questions! Would definitely be back :) thanks Sarah! X

This was the perfect place to conclude our 2 week family trip around Scotland. Our family of 8 adults and 2 small children were completely comfortable in Thornhill House. Ross even sent over cozy bedding and a soft toy for the youngest in our group. The kitchen with its large gathering table was wonderful. There were also plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms which truly enhanced our stay. The location was near to Stirling and its many attractions, yet was a quiet and peaceful getaway. I would highly recommend Thornhill House for larger groups and families. Your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you, Ross, for your great communication and responsiveness!

Comfortable large cottage that accommodated easily our family of 5. Very well equipped and very clean. The owners provided sweets, bread, milk, butter, etc and even came for a short visit to make sure everything was ok. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was very clean and well maintained. The accommodation was in a perfect location for us to explore the surrounding area with plenty of outdoor activities to do and close to local amenities. Host was very responsive and the little extras were thoughtful. We would definitely recommend this property to our family and friends particularly those that enjoy the outdoors. Great stay and bonus with the weather being warm and sunny!

Peaceful location, incredible views. Great access to Skye, Eliean Donan and that area, however quite a bit out from everything else. Kyle is a great place to run to for supplies and a few meal options, but be aware that things close early or don't open at all on certain days. The space is very nice, a bit creaky that shows it's character. It was nice to open the sliding glass door and just listen to nature and watch the time go by. We had everything we needed inside as it is very well equipped and our hosts were ever helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful house with a gorgeous view and a very helpful host. What more can you want? The wow factor is the view! The large windows look over the sea giving a spectacular view particularly as the sun sets. The house is furnished and equipped to a high standard. We were an extended family of 12 and there was plenty of space (incuding the bothy) for all of us. The location is very handy for eateries and shops. The beach in front of the house is rocky but there is a lovely large sandy beach 5 minutes away. Thank you Zoe for being such a helpfully host.

Enjoyed our stay, any queries or issues were sorted quickly. Had everything we needed - towels, cooking things, some toiletries. Garden got the evening sun and plenty of seating for the group.

We had our mums 80th with her family and the place was so well equipped with everything you need the rooms and space was fabulous and very well presented with its own individual character,the area brought back so many memories for my mum we can not thank and praise Alan and the place enough Thank you

We loved our stay here. The house was spotless, Tracey was such a responsive host and the location was great for the places we were visiting. The house has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The little extras such as the cereal, milk and peppermint tea were an unexpected bonus. We stayed here as a group of friends and had a fantastic time! The views over the loch are stunning. The house is very comfortable and well equiped. We enjoyed a local 6 mile walk directly from the house, enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea at the cafe, who catered for all dietary requirements and were lovely. There is also a boat ramp right by the house for access to the loch - we braved morning dips at sunrise which was so peaceful and refreshing. Definitely recommend, it won't disappoint :)
