Great spot out above Pinhão. Bit of a drive , but view and value is worth it. Pity about the power lines obstructing the view partially. Steps not for small kids or mobiley impaired. But this flat is definitely well worth it. We had 2 memorable days here. Great as a starting point for Duoro wine tastng.

Beautiful place. The place is taken care of in every detail. Henrique is a great host. He gave us good recommendations of places to visit in the area (the waterfall and community windmill not to be missed). We stop at Ninho, a little little house full of lovely touches, like a salamander that's a light table. We were very happy. And they allow dogs for a plus. Dog-friendly is a great advantage of the place for those of us traveling with them. Recommended to spend a few days in nature, to relax and return to the daily routine of the great city.

Our stay was all we hoped it would be. Thanks to Tania who looks after the property and who looked after us so well. Beautiful property with stunning views of the valley. Would love to return.

Enjoyed a peaceful stay in Esphinhosa. The house is very inviting with plenty of room. Views are amazing with the vineyards across the lane. Virtually no traffic since it is the 2nd last place on the road. A leisurely 5-minute stroll to the little hamlet of Esphinhosa. There's a very small coffee bar & grocery store in town. It has the very basics to get you through. If you plan to make your own meals in the well-equipped kitchen, remember to purchase your groceries on the way. For large luggage, you will want to access the 2nd floor from the back door up the hill rather than using the spiral stairs. Also, Google Maps took us straight through Espinhosa. To squeeze through the houses where R.Direita meets R.dos Valados, we had to fold up the mirrors on our Dacia Duster with likely only 1/2" to spare on either side. Make sure to use Rua Cimo do Povo and follow the signs for Valado Houses. Good local food at Restaurante Pesqueirense in São João da Pesqueir.

Phillipa and Paul were absolutely lovely to work with and their property is unbelievable! We felt like we owned a Quinta for a few nights! we got to explore the property, visit with Paul and one of their sons, and savor the beauty of the Douro. They were proactive with communication and sourced a number of wonderful adventures, activities and meals. Without their guidance our trip would have been less fun!

what a sublime place. it was perfect. the location is outstanding, the people are great. the views are incredible. our time here was the icing on the cake for our portugal trip. we would hope to come back.

Fantastic! An oasis in the middle of nature. Perfect location to discover Braganca and the Montesinho Natural Park. I would have liked to have stayed longer...

Beautiful home with all the amenities exactly as described. Perfect location within walking distance of Pinhao village and a number of wineries. The host, Francisco met us on arrival to show us through the house. His communication is unsurpassed providing recommendations for restaurants, wineries and boat trips on the river. Very responsive to any questions. Could not recommend highly enough. A totally wonderful experience.

A beautiful, peaceful retreat in a spacious, clean home! Our first stay in Marco's family home was so positive that we bookmarked it for future trips. The home is exceptionally clean, roomy, and quiet with all the amenities one needs. Antonio (property custodian and vigneron) is an absolute gentleman that you'll see from time to time. Chaves is a quick drive away with many restaurants, grocery stores, and delicious bakeries (Prazeres da Terra is a must-try). Will continue to recommend this incredible home to family and friends!

The hosts were very kind and attentive all the time. The location is beautiful, and the house is very good and clean. Overall, a very nice stay. Would like to repeat in the future.
