“It was a blessing to meet Phumi and her family, she is an insperation to me and my family. Onse again I was able to experiance Southafrika in its whole beauty, the morning walks in the vally of 1000 hills, the beautyful view and the so lovely hospitality made us feel like home. For Phumi it is really important that the guests feel like home and she moves every mountain if necessary =). Her puthu is the best we ever tasted in all the past years. I am really thankful that we were able to get to know this amacing woman, her family and lifestorry. We will come back that is for sure.”
My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
“A BLISSFUL HALF CENTURY Amazing hosts, very welcoming. We had an intimate poolside 50th birthday braai for my dad; the scenery is breathtaking and they have wonderful views. For those who enjoy watching the sunrise while enjoying a cup of coffee, the garden is the place to be (very peaceful). Would definitely recommend the place to others and will definitely be coming back.”
Nestled in an historic street in the beautiful Valley of 1000 Hills, Ravenscroft was originally the Halfway Trading Store. It is within a 50 kilometre radius of Durban's Beachfront, Ushaka Marine World, PheZulu Safari Park, Tala Game Reserve, Pietermaritzburg's Museums, Shongweni Dam and Inanda Dam. The Midlands Meander is less than an hour's drive away so there is plenty to do in the area.
“It is a spacious apartment with a nice fireplace. Perfect for long or short stays. Is very close to the monteseel climbing area which was the reason for my stay and was in a very convenient location. Will definitely stay over again in the future.”
