Cottage vacation rentals in Cairngorms

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location. The cottage was well kept and very homely. It was ideal for our family with everything we needed. The location was fantastic. Great walks for the dogs, both at the cottage and nearby (some recommended by the owner). As well as close to a number of child friendly locations and activities for our 7 year old. A large Tesco was nearby as well as some great restaurants. We found it very relaxing and enjoyed watching the garden birds, red squirrel, and local deer. The owner was very helpful, with quick responses, and all relevant information provided in advance. The only point we have to note was the limited water pressure for the shower. The owner did make us aware of this in advance of the visit. Although low pressure, it was also still sufficient, clean, and worked so we could have a shower. Thanks again to Ashley for all her support throughout and her beautiful holiday home.

Such a beautiful find! Perfect little get away, well equipped home from home. Well looked after and 10/10 cleanliness. Will be booking again.

Property was ideally located for quietness. Garden was safe and secure for the dogs. Everything we needed was provided and any queries were answered quickly.

Beautiful cottage, with absolutely everything you need. Comfy and spotlessly clean. The garden is lovely to look out on from the conservatory when eating. Hot tub in the pretty garden was lovely day or night. Eva was a great host, providing lots of info on checking in etc. The location is really perfect as well, 2 mins walk to the beach, about 30 along the beach to Chanory point, lovely fairy glen walk along burn to beautiful waterfalls. Beach cafe 2mins away and cafe/restaurant Crofters (which you can sit in our takeaway) less than 10. 2 Playparks within a few mins walk as well. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful family break! We loved the outdoor space and the beds were super comfortable! We made use of the hot tub and BBQ and enjoyed days out to Stonehaven and St Cyrus beach.

Would just like to say thank you for my stay me and my family loved it spicily the love for cars and stuff cars what was clear throw out the house as someone who’s into cars my self 10/10 for that one small thing can be tricky to get parked sometimes tho that has nothing to do with host just the street but 100% does not affect the stay just to be mindful other than that 10/10 we place really is thank you so much will be back again!!!

It was a Quaint, quirky, cozy cottage! Very clean and well equipped, had everything we needed. We had a lovely weekend, we didn't want to leave! Perfect, for walking our Chocolate Lab! Relaxing in the hot tub! Thank you Laura, we will definitely be back!😘

We had a brilliant 4 day break at this lovely wee cottage. There was absolutely everything we needed for our stay and we loved all the extra wee decorative touches Brett has added too. We were blessed with sun every day and breakfast in the cute wee garden was a great way to start each day. Loved that we were 1 minutes walk from the beach and did a lot of exploring along this beautiful part of the coast. We even did a bit of body boarding in the sea too!! Would definitely stay again.

Laura’s place was wonderful. She was also an accommodating host, which we really appreciated. The place was beautiful and completely spotless. We really recommend ❤️

I went there with my friends to unwind from university and it was unarguably on of the best place to stay. the view from the kitchen was stunning and so comfortable to stay either with friends or family. Although the weather was not on our side but staying home, have a catch up session and cooking together was so much better because the place is so cosy and feels like home.

Really nice and quaint cottage. Curling up with the fire and just unwinding against the quiet of the surroundings was awesome.

What an incredible getaway from the world! Very idyllic, country living. The home felt super cosy and homely. Eggs from the chickens and marmalade in the kitchen waiting for our arrival was a lovely touch! Beds were all very comfortable and we all had great night sleep each night. We had a fantastic stay here! The cottage is lovely and immaculate! Rhona was really proactive with communication and gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants and cafes. The location is beautiful! Just a few steps to a lovely and peaceful beach and 10 minutes walk into town. We hope to be back!

What a fabulous little find, cosy cottage fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Bed was so comfortable had a great nights sleep. Great location for shops and food. House was spotlessly clean and fab complimentary toiletries. Host was good communicator and was good to know they were available and on hand if needed which we didnt as everything was perfect. Good base for exploring Ballater , Braemar and the surrounding area including Lochnagar.

We had a great holliday. Location and the house were both perfect! The house was spotless and everything you need is there. Lots of great walks from the cottage. We all (family with 3 kids) had a wonderfull holiday.

Peaceful, rural location, ideal for exploring the area - we will stay longer next time. Great views from the bedroom and patio. The whole place was comfortable, home from home. Paul was a great host - very helpful.

Really lovely little cottage, very peaceful location and stunning views out the back. Kitchen beatiful and stocked with the essentials (salt, pepper, oil, plenty of pots and pans). Only slight downside would be a very squeaky bed, comfortable enough but noisy.

We loved staying at Woodside, it had such a good feel to the place, really warm and comfortable, exactly what you’re after on a break away. Stunning surroundings, lovely garden and a well thought out and cared for home, really lovely! We’ll definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family thanks x

Pam and Alyssa were very helpful and flexible - and left us some goodies including fresh eggs of varied size and colour. The cottage is pretty and very well kitted out - very clean and comfortable. The location is really special - on the side of the glen, unbelievably quiet. Just pheasants, kites, buzzards, rabbits, sheep, deer and a stoat. We had sunny blue skies and went walking from the cottage every day. Hills, fields and forests everywhere you look. We both felt that 3 weeks there would have been good for us. Thanks again to Pam and Alyssa for being excellent hosts. I hope that we'll be able to return soon.

We did get a little lost once we entered the estate as there was roads forking in two directions but a quick call to Gill had us back on track. Beware of the track leading up to Garden Cottage as there are a lot of pot holes. It was all worth it once we got to the cottage though. The cottage was clean and spacious with a lovely log fire that we took advantage of everyday. Plenty walks around the estate, pity we couldn't walk up to Forglen House but you get pretty views from the river.
