Great stay. We’ll definitely be back. Lovely property and host provides everything you’ll need amenities wise. Lovely off the grid private house, perfect for my birthday retreat.

13 of us came for a 30th birthday and it was absolutely brilliant. Ian and Donna - you've made something beautiful and we will be back!

Myself and 3 friends stayed for the weekend and it was amazing. The cottage was lovely. Easy to get find, easy i structions to follow to check in. Emma has everything in the kitchen that you could need, even a dishwasher. The lounge area was very cosy and has a dining area. There is a lovely log fore for the cold nights and games. The bathroom was very nice and clean as were the bedroom. The cottage was lovely and warm and we couldnt hear any noise. There a lots of things to do if you dont mind going for a drive amd a couple of lovely pubs if you want to eat out. The gaming barn is so good aswell. We cant wait to come back in the summer. Emma was an excellant host, we saw her a few times during our stay and was happy to answer any questions that we had. Thank you for a lovely stay in your cottage Emma xx

Eleven of us stayed in the home for three nights over Christmas. We had a fabulous time together. We all loved the space and how easy it was to move around and find some quiet time if needed. We cooked, ate and watched movies together. The host was super kind he let us check in early, provided flowers, champagne , biscuits and bread. He decorated the house for Christmas with a lovely tree and also warmed up the outdoor hot tub. All in all a fabulous experience. Highly recommend.

We booked Dot’s place as a treat for our dad and it did not disappoint! A beautiful cabin with a peaceful and tranquil vibe, perfect for relaxing and being with nature. We loved the log burner and the hot tub was an extra bonus! Dot was a fab host, always friendly and responsive, helping with anything we needed. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family, and will return in the near future. Thank you for a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Was very clean, refurbished and all facilities were high quality. Great interactive panel for music, lighting, and controls for the facilities. Great extension for darts and hot tub and very suited for large groups to socialise. Bedroom were perfect, comfy beds and hot showers. Really nice place for large groups. Very pleased with our stay.

Had a lovely New Years holiday with family (and dogs) and it did feel like a holiday. Hosts were very attentive (with hot tub, and asking about wi-fi) yet I think made sure to let us feel comfortable and give us our privacy. A 15 minute walk to shop, or 2 minute drive - we also visited Blackpool (30 minute drive). Clean beds, lovely living room and can't fault value for money, and would recommend. Thanks for having us!!

Jane communicated all we needed to know. Getting in to the property was easy. lovely bungalow, very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Good shower. Had everything we needed in the kitchen. Local walks were fantastic, would definitely book again

Lovely property which was comfortable and homely. Homely touches having the Christmas tree and board games etc. and also appreciated the EB items as a fellow collector myself. Beds were very comfortable and fabulous shower! Would possibly recommend a couple of larger towels. Would love to come back and explore the area more, looked to be lots of great walking opportunities.

A very comfortable and well equipped holiday cottage- we appreciated the deep sofas and gas fire plus central heating during our New Year stay! A note for dog owners- there is no secure garden- it does state this on the listing, but I hadn’t appreciated from the photos that the only outdoor space was at the front (not back) of the property, and is therefore open to the road. Fortunately the road is very quiet and our dog tends to stay close- but he still had to be closely watched when he went out for a wee! Overall we had a lovely stay here and enjoyed the dramatic local scenery, despite the rain and wind!

Susan was an impeccable host and the thought she’s put into the cottage to ensure guests are comfy was evident. We loved staying here.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay this time as much as the last. Place is spacious and well kept. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Would recommend this place for anyone that needs space and a nice place to relax. I would stay here again in a minute.

What a find! Our stay exceeded expectations. We loved everything about it, warm and cosy, comfy bed and sofa. A great wee place to escape to and fantastic as a base for waking. The heated floor in the shower room was a real luxury after a long walk. We couldn’t fault it and have already recommended it to our friends. No traffic noise despite being close to the road between Chinley and Hayfield. It was easy to get to, just a short walk up the hosts garden path and over the track. Definitely worth a trip. Friendly and informative hosts without being intrusive. Cosy annexe with well appointed kitchen, comfy bed and everything needed for a pleasant stay. Easy commute to Preston and good pub just down the road. Nothing not to like.

Fabulous place, that had absolutely everything we needed. Felt quite magical when we arrived as all the moored boats opposite the house, were covered in fairy lights. The house is stunning and done to a very high standard. Lots of interesting arty decor (love the ship on the fireplace and large branch!) I’d taken a couple of lamps as I often find houses don’t have enough yet there were plenty in every room. The kitchen is very well equipped and a lovely space for communal eating. The location cannot be faulted. Great walks from the canal with a 10 minute walk in to the centre of Hebden. Happened to meet Rachel and Juliet just as we were leaving and they were warm and friendly. Checked out the place for a return visit with friends but it was unavailable on the date we wanted. Would certainly like to return at some point though. 5 stars all the way!

Really homely place to stay - perfect for a long weekend! The house is in very good condition with good sized bedrooms, plus a sofa bed downstairs (in addition to the main sofa). The house was well stocked with everything you could need, including books and games, and located within walking distance of the town for shops, great restaurants and cosy pubs, as well as great nearby walking places such as Bramhall Park. Perfect for a wholesome friends reunion, but also would be great for a family as there are also lots of kids toys in the house. Kimberly and Kevin were very responsive and helpful and friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend, or choose to stay again if I'm going back to that part of the country!

We *loved* our stay at Mike’s place! Everything was clean, the amenities were above and beyond and the whole place felt very comfortable. Mike has gone a long way to make this place feel very homey and relaxing and we’d definitely be staying again. Thank you Mike!

We really enjoyed our stay, Susan was very attentive to our needs and made sure we were set up accordingly, as well as being very prompt with her replies. The place is really cozy and homely, and it has a lovely garden space too. Good location as it’s quiet and remote but not too far from handforth and Wilmslow where there’s lots of shops, restaurants cafes and a park. Would definitely stay again!

Such a comfortable house. Excellently equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery, pans etc. Tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Spotlessly clean. Paul is a superb host - responsive, friendly and helpful.

We had a great couple of nights at Belle Vue Barn whilst visiting family in the area. Gavin is a great host and the barn is such a warm, comfortable and cosy place to stay, and in a beautiful location. The Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. Would highly recommend staying here!

We had a lovely stay at Jason and Sophie’s place. Really good transport connections into town via the bus and lots of free parking on the street. Amenities exactly as described. We went just before Christmas and with the heater, the room was more than warm enough! Would definitely recommend this place.

Perfect location for visiting friends in Lymm and Chester. Super comfy bed and a lovely canal side walk to Lymm. Very easy check in.

Peaceful village location. Convenient for Preston. Loved the quiet roads for running in the mornings. Friendly locals!
