Amazing house with lots of amenities and awesome views of the ocean and the rainforest. We had a perfect one week stay here. The house is fully equipped for cooking (if you choose to stay at come and relax by the pool) and perfect for relaxation. We also did some short nice walks around the property in the lush forest and the most magical moment of the day was right after the sunset when the fireflies were invading the yard. Would definitely recommend this house!

I booked this house for a girls trip for my 25th birthday and I’m so glad I did. It was quite some distance from the airport but 100% worth it. The house was gorgeous and a great way to reconnect with nature. During my trip it was raining every day (came the end of rainy season) even with the rain it was amazing. The house is so nice you don’t even need to leave to have a good Time. I definitely suggest utilizing a private chef. We had meals prepared at the house by chef Vlad and it was by far the highlight of the house. Not only was everything he cooked magnificent, but his service was phenomenal as well. I told him what I liked to eat and every meal prepared was catered to our group and the food got better and better every day. He was such a delight and it was an honor to try personal dishes prepared by him. His food and presentation was made with love and it definitely showed. His wife Simone was also so helpful and kind. Her knowledge of the area made planning the trip easier.

Words cannot describe how amazing our stay at Finca Manglar was! You truly have to experience this place in person, you will not be disappointed. From the boat ride through the mangroves to arrive at the house, or the exceptional excursions, or the great communication with the host, everything was top notch!! Luis and his family are very caring, want you to enjoy your time and always kept us busy. He goes above and beyond to make sure you see everything you want and enjoys showing his knowledge of the area. My wife and I and our 3 boys were lucky enough to be at the house during Luis’s birthday and he was pleasantly surprised when he came to the house that morning for our daily trip and we sang happy birthday to him. Here are a few side notes to help you with your trip…. Pack light. Shorts, tshirts, couple pairs of shoes, and sandals are pretty much the attire. Bring pants or long socks for the horseback ride. Lastly, be ready to be amazed by the beauty of this property!

Definitely the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in. Anjee and Mick have created a beautiful and unique space with incredible attention to detail and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. Their hospitality was truly heartwarming and much appreciated. The Birdhouse is the perfect location for staying in all day reading and soaking up the views, exploring the Chirripó Pacific river and recovering after hiking the mountain. 5 nights wasn't enough - we're already looking forward to coming back!

Our stay at Pura Vida Ecolodge was amazing! We loved how open the lodge was and how it allowed us to immerse ourselves in the surrounding scenery! The lodge is stocked with everything you’ll need while remaining uncluttered and minimalist. Rainy Season things to know - The mornings are glorious! The view is constantly changing as the clouds roll in/out. Even in the rains we enjoyed the waterfall and the alfresco lounge. The concrete bridge on the main road to the lodge did flood during our stay and remained flooded for a few days. There is another way in/out but as the hosts will tell you, it’s longer and much more rough. We stocked up a few food items so that staying at the lodge while the waters lowered wasn’t an issue at all. That being said, we didn’t have a problem AT ALL being “stuck” at the lodge. There are so many well thought out areas and amenities that we never ran out of options. Overall, we had the best slow paced and relaxing week!! We can’t wait to come back!!

Best Airbnb I ever rented. It was fully equipped with everything you needed and more! Cosy and modern, super confortable and warm. Plenty of wood to burn in the fireplace. The sound of the river next to the house. Beautiful walks and quetzal sightseeing. Totally recommended! Travis & Jessica you have been great hosts! Thank you so much ☺️

This is absolute paradise! The villa was great and everything as described, we were very pleased with the beauty of the whole surroundings .From day one waking up to a beautiful view of the beach and ocean to visiting the local restaurants and communities it was amazing. We visited many local spots and spent lots of time at Manuel Antonio Playa (beach), the people were great ,the seafood was undeniably the best and freshest ever. The scenery and wildlife was also awesome, we saw sloths, white faced monkeys and tropical birds all in the rainforest which is basically everywhere. We had a great experience and we will be back many more times in the future, we highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a private piece of paradise that you wont regret. Pura Vida! Amazing location overlooking the river and a private reserve, very peaceful and renewing. The hosts were kind and thoughtful, we enjoyed the locally sourced bread, butter and coffee and they were very respectful of our privacy. Would definitely visit again.

This is a gem. Britta is a wonderful host: The place is gorgeous, curated with love and attention to detail. Britta is easy and quick to communicate with. The drive up to the house is effortless with a 4x4, the road (although bumpy and gravelly) is very manageable. The house itself is wonderful, the views amazing with a possibility to see animals on and around the premises. Be aware that there might be a small intrusion of wildlife into the house as well (geckos find a way), but it was nothing we were worried about. The path down to the river is an experience in itself, with about 100 m of elevation loss on somewhat slippery, but very immersive and beautiful terrain - it’s a small but true hike in the jungle with a very private destination. We loved the house and the surroundings very much and were very happy to have stayed there.
