There are many fantastic restaurants and bars right on our doorstep as well as lots of the Lake Districts most scenic hiking trails. We are a family run Bed and Breakfast and pride ourselves on providing luxury and comfortable accommodation within our home and do all we can to ensure you enjoy your stay with us. It was built in 1620, once owned by Beatrix Potter, surrounded by hills and trees, and with astounding views. At night, the silence is total. We offer a king-size double bed, satellite TV and WIFI, your own bathroom too with great water pressure and piping hot water. Plus your own downstairs sitting/dining room .

Your host Marianne invites you to enjoy her lovely home. It is a welcoming and hospitable home. Marianne is German and English speaking. The single bedroom has a study area and a charming sitting room. There is plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. Continental breakfast will be served in the breakfast room. The home is conveniently situated on a bus route, with access to the two universities, Williamson Park, the rail station, town centre, and beautiful coast and countryside.

The house is situated on a quiet cul de sac in Kendal, a 10/15 min walk from the mainline train station, Oxenholme Station, and a 20-25 minute walk into town. The bedroom is on the ground floor with an ensuite private shower room. We are close to the hospital, ideal if need somewhere to stay if you are working there for a week or two. Breakfast is provided for you in the utility room, you are welcome to use our dining room.

Hearty breakfast... and super local walks....included in your stay!

Beautifully appointed room with view to Esthwaite Water. Ensuite facilities with walk in shower. Great Cumbrian breakfasts to set you up for the day. Covid 19 update - I've put in place a number of measures for guests' safety (and my own), including surfaces are regularly sanitized, linen is laundered at a high temperature and breakfasts are served to your room.
