Vacation rentals in Bourrou

We had a fabulous time with friends and family in Bourrou. We booked the chateau and one of the gites for 18 of us adults and were very comfortable. Would love to return for a family Christmas.

It was in the countryside so if you have a car it is the perfect place to chill out. If you want to see the surrounding places it is easy to get to them.

Beautiful location. Convenient for touring the sights of Dordogne Périgord. A relaxing peaceful place to stay and in the evenings we enjoyed a meal outside with a glass of wine soaking up the view.

We spent three nights of our honeymoon at the cabane in September 2024 and what a good decision that was. It is incredibly peaceful and the location is a really beautiful spot surrounded by woodland. You can go walking in the vineyards at the top of the hill. You essentially have a private lake to enjoy for swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing. The cabin has been built very stylishly, with great taste. Stephanie was available via phone and email to help us arrive, helped us settle in and check out and was full of local recommendations and suggestions. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials when we arrived. Eggs from Stephanie’s hens and a bottle of local red were very nice touches. We had a wonderful time at the cabin and really hope to return for a swim with the ducks. Thank you so much for helping us make the most of our stay. Merci beaucoup!

Nora and Peter were outstanding hosts. The best hosts. The villa was immaculate and clean. The rooms were made up and ready. The HVAC system is modern and responsive; warm floors when you want them = pure velvet joy. The bathrooms were over the top luxurious. Many baths were taken and bathrobes were provided. The wooden shutters were secure and blocked out the light on late mornings. The kitchen was five star—we made many nice multi-course meals and also Bertrand came and prepared us Michelin star quality meal—private chef for a meal was nice upgrade and a great price point. The wood stove/fireplace added nice heat and ambiance. We can’t say enough wonderful things about Nora & Peter’s place: the linens, the kitchen accoutrements, the stone work, the tech — all five star. The views were so pretty. The pool was great. Heated towel rack. Secure gated property with key fob for guests. Topiary. Plenty of parking. Stay here. We’ll be back.
