Cathy and Andy's place is a labour of love, absolutely stunning and we can't recommend this place enough. The gite is perfect for a couple has everything you need, a comfy bed, great shower and a coffee machine! The gite is situated in Cathy and Andy's small holding amongst goats, sheep, chickens and friendly cats and dogs! Cathy and Andy kindly lent us their bikes and we cycled all around the area for miles soaking up the beautiful countryside; visiting local villages and markets in Lezay, Melle, Pompreux, St Maxiente l'ecole،Moth st Heray and lots more. There is a local lido just 4k away in Pompreux which was lovely after a long cyle. Cathy and Andy made us feel so welcome and treated us like family, we didn't want to leave and will definitely be back soon. Bougon is a small village within easy reach of places to walk, cycle, paddle board, kayak and swim. Local wildlife we came across included Bucks, buzzards, bats, damsel flies and owls. Sophie was by far the best host we ever had! She made us feel at home instantly and even provided (a lot) of food upon arrival, so we didn’t have to go to the supermarket right away. The completely fenced private garden was perfect for our dog and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet!

Thank you for hosting us and for the Easter attention for the children! Despite the capricious weather, the site is superb, quiet and peaceful. Guaranteed logout Useful welcome booklet with good information We couldn't take the walk from the cottage but why not for next time 😁 40 minutes from Futuroscope and Aquascope with a "good" road. 50 minutes from the Green Venice pier... In short, good geographical location! Nothing to say but we recommend it without a second thought!
