House vacation rentals in Borrowdale

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Mark the host gave us super easy and clear instructions to get to, and get in the caravan which made things super easy. The caravan is absolutely stunning, so clean inside with absolutely everything you need, from plates, cleaning products, even a slow cooker and dishwasher. Everything was left for our one year old including a cot and blankets, and they even had bubbles, loads of games and books for all ages. The WiFi worked really well and honestly we couldn’t fault it. The site was lovely, although there wasn’t loads to do for the kids, they made use of the golf, football pitches and pool. The entertainment was decent and we even won £500 at bingo! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Lynda is a brilliant host and had tea, coffee, milk and fruits ready for us before we arrived. The place was very clean and felt like home. Kids loved the place and the board games. The icing on the cake is the location as, it is next to Ocean edge. She responded promptly for any questions we had. We have enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return back if we visit surrounding places. Thank you very much for hosting us Lynda, we had a great time.

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Badgers Rest. The home was beautifully clean, had everything we needed and in a great location. The facilities were amazing nearby too.

What can I say, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. Jackie is an amazing host and could not be more accommodating and helpful. The caravan was so lovely and homely. Extremely clean with everything we could possibly need as a home from home. The beds were comfortable and we all had good nights sleep. Thank you so much for letting us stay.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Really worth it! Mark & Rachel were great hosts you took the time to share and walk me through the full details of the property and its surrounding area. They were kind and responsive making me and my family feel right at home. The property is a nice stroll away from the sea front and conveniently across a Sainsbury’s for any needs during the stay. I hope to stay there again when I’m next in Lancaster as all my needs were met. Thank you Mark & Rachel for a pleasant stay.

Such a beautiful place to stay! Everything you could possibly need and more. Gary gave us easy instructions to find the property with photos, which made getting in stress free! I would stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family. Shops, supermarket and restaurants all in walking distance. Thank you for having us Gary 😊

Very nice cute little cottage, ideal location to get into the lakes, well kitted out, comfy bed, just a bit chilly in the mornings and night time but we had a log burner which john supplied plenty of logs for us, highly recomend.

A fabulous house in an amazing location. To sit outside or to look out of the window and see the spectacular views of the hills, you couldn’t really ask for any more. Hearing the sheep and lambs nearby was beautiful. The house had everything we needed, with lots of space for the children to play. The library was a favourite place for everyone to gather, either to sit and read a book and chill or to watch something on the cinema screen. Dent itself is such a beautiful place with so much character. This was a perfect house and location for a family holiday and we would definitely recommend.

Clean and well equipped large house, perfect for 5 couples celebrating a 60th bday. Large communal space for eating in and socialising. Pubs and restaurants in walking distance (20min walk). We were blessed with fabulous weather and fortunately had taken camping chairs as other than an outdoor dining table with bench seating there were no other outdoor seats, so go prepared if the forecast is good. Separate pool table room was a welcome bonus. Would thoroughly recommend.

The house was as described. Very quiet on an evening. Great location for walking in the lakes following our walk up Scarfell Pike and Ennerdale. It’s not particularly a tourist location but a great base! All locals really friendly and Everything was expected and described.

Travelling from Australia, this was a great safe spot to keep our motorcycles out of eyes view on the way to the Isle Of Man TT. House was beautiful, spotlessly clean. Appreciated the fresh milk, and bread for a quick breakfast in the morning. Was surprised that we could get an Uber and had a great meal at the Fleece Inn and only cost £6 each way. Would be a great place to stay for more nights

I highly recommend this place. House was like a show home, absolutely spotlessly clean. Fantastic location, just a short walk from Keswick town center.

It was a great home to make our base to the Lakes. Windermere is about 45 mins drive. the house had more bedroom than we expected, decent kitchen, 3 bathrooms and local superstores about 4 minutes drive. Free on street parking may not be found always outside the house but never more than a minute's walk away. the small patio at the back was nice right outside the kitchen. Definately good value for money!

It was great definitely coming again when I’m back in lake district
