Quiet and clean. We had the most lovely stay. Animals are very friendly. Definitely recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Judith's. Judith is very warm and helpful. Responded directly to questions and assisted where possible. At the property there is a lovely garden with evening sun. The space itself is very neat and has great beds. Bathroom and kitchen (without cooking facilities) are functional. Balk and surroundings are beautiful!

We have been there for our honeymoon and everything matched what was promised. The garden was lovely for both good and bad weather and because of the bushes and plants you also did not feel viewed at all. There was also a screen at the Jacuzzi so you had a lot of privacy. Furthermore, everything in the house was also very neat and clean and there were many basic products such as coffee and herbs that we were allowed to use. The area was very quiet and there were beautiful hiking trails nearby to be able to walk with the dog. We at least had a great midweek due to this stay! Would do it again and so would the dog!

Amazing place, very peaceful. The hosts are incredibly nice and very helpful. We took the recommended wooden boat for a tour around the town and it was magical.

Great place. Close to nature. Well equipped. We were on a work trip and found the quietness great for after a stressful day.

We were visiting a relative in the area. The venue suited our needs very nicely. Home from home (once we got used to the stairs). A version of the Guidance Book in English would be very useful. If we venture into Drenthe again, we will certainly look to see if Irene’s home is available.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful spacious chalet, comfortably furnished. Very quiet surroundings. For activities you had to drive a bit but that was fine too. On the way you can see a lot of nature and a lot of animals. Check-in and communication were hassle-free. We got very quick feedback. The value for money was very good here. We have already recommended the place to others. Thank you!

We loved our stay in this cute old cottage style home. It was a bit longer of a walk from parking to the home than expected , but the path was a short stroll along a lovely canal over a bridge to our destination. There were some beautiful swans greeting us and it felt very idyllic. It was a short (maybe 10 min) drive away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy traffic. We walked (maybe 5 min) along the canal path to a nice restaurant and had dinner. Eva was lovely and I would recommend her place if you are looking for the quaint feel of a traditional canal home without all the noise and foot traffic of a lot of tourists:)

A charming spot to enjoy nature and truly disconnect. The owner was exceptionally kind and welcoming. We were two couples, and while the place felt a bit smaller than it appeared in the photos, it was still perfectly comfortable for a short stay. Highly recommended!
