Vacation rentals with beach access in Blyth

The apartment was perfect in size and location for the things we wanted to see in and around South Shields. The coastline is beautiful, walk to Marsden Grotto along the coast took about 1 1/2 hrs with amazing birdlife (bus back) Foot ferry over to North Shields, bus and Metro ticket good, St Mary’s Lighthouse a must , check tide times. Tyne Mouth a special place with Priory and spectacular views .Roman Fort next to the Apartment a hidden gem and free. Sadly some of South Shields needs a Spruce up like so many places on our Coastline. Elaine is a lovely host.

A lovely place to stay. The flat is beautifully decorated throughout. We loved staying there. It was calming and relaxing and the bed was extremely comfortable, excellent mattress. The whole place was very thoughtfully equipped with everything you may need for your stay. A stone's throw from the seaftont with lovely shops and restaurants nearby. And the metro station a short walk away can take you anywhere in the area. We would love to stay again. Highly recommended.

Perfect stay, apartment had all we needed. Great location near the beach and 2 minutes from the Metro station so handy for days out. Station Retreat in Cullercotes was a good place to stay for our few days exploring the area. Communication was excellent. Thank you.

John and Irene very friendly and responsive hosts. Home nicely situated in quiet neighbourhood. Very clean and homely. Well kitted out with everything you need for short stays-in our experience this is not always the case so always take some essentials with us. Can recommend and would certainly book again if visiting the area again. Enjoyed visiting, Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay. Lots of good cafe's and bars and no shortage of supermarkets should you need. People very friendly and welcoming.

The Apartment was well situated, very close to the shops, restaurants and the local amenities. It was a very easy stroll to the beautiful beach and for those inclined a very enjoyable amble towards Walkworth. Upon arrival there was Prosecco and milk in the fridge and everywhere looked very clean and tidy. The communication was easy as was the access and there were no worries regarding parking as a space was provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to other people - I have no doubt we’ll come back here again.

A little gem of a cottage Very cleverly designed It was in a great location so near to all the amenities in Amble We did a road trip up to Alnwick and Seahorses. Over the sand dunes, in Amble, are amazing quiet beaches where you can sit read and look out to Coquet Island. The cottage had a lovely feeling to it and I loved the roll topped bath A definite place to return to .Amble has lots of lovely cafes and restaurants. We tried a few and loved them all Thanks for having us 😁

Neat, clean and spacious apartment. Excellent provisions for children (would note there are split level stairs if your child is mobile) and felt very welcomed.

We had not been to the area before but were delighted with the accommodation and with Cullercoats. The cottage was stylish and luxurious, ticking all the boxes for a really comfortable bed, great shower, well-equipped, excellent kitchen and everything you needed for a short stay or a longer one. The upstairs ensuite bedroom had a lovely sea view and was really peaceful. The downstairs double room and separate bathroom were practical as we had family visiting. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly and the location was superb - the cottage was minutes from the beach, a small supermarket and the Metro. You could walk from the door into Whitley Bay or Tynemouth. The beach was excellent and we swam in the sea. The coastal pathway between Whitley Bay and North Shields with its separate cycle lanes will be a wonderful asset and parts of it are already completed. We settled in really well and very quickly and were a bit sad to leave. Thank you to Vikki.

A wonderful place to stay. Rosemary's place was just as described. Very comfortable, especially the beds. Fully eqipped with everything you need. Our host responded promptly, politely and really made us feel at home. The house is brilliantly located, minues from the sea front, Co op at the end of the street, lovely cafes and eateries. Cullercoats Metro a minute away. I have to say that the house was lovely and quiet and we both slept so well. Cullercoats is a lovely spot, lovely beaches to walk slong, Whitley Bay minutes away fun shops and cafes. Tynemouth similarly a lovely spot, beaufiful Edwardisn buildings, smart shops and cafes. We had a few day trips also....Alynmouth one of my favourites. All in all a lovely holiday.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay as usual. Love staying at Joan’s home. It has everything we need, so comfortable and clean. It was a very hot weekend but the home was lovely and cool. There are very nice walks just a minute away, turn right out of the front door and walk to the end of the road. The paths lead to the lake, and also a very nice local pub for a morning coffee.

Everything we wanted to do was easily walkable even with our young grandson. The location was very quiet and the small outdoor space was a bonus. Ian was very helpful.

Such a lovely, spacious house. Even better than the photos. Easy to park and very quiet. The outside space catches the late afternoon sun. Amble is a beautiful place, with good restaurants and bars, literally round the corner. Recommend The Tithe, and the Italian for good food and The Lounge for great open mic night. Beautiful walks to Walkworth and Houghton along the coastal path. Thankyou for a great stay.

Great stay in this lovely house. Everything was as described. Fantastic location with plenty of bars and eateries on the doorstep. We walked into Warkworth following a beautiful country bridleway and returned after 8 miles and relaxed in the wonderful hot tub. Leo enjoyed himself on the beach too. We have just returned from our visit. A real home from home. Beautiful property with everything you need which makes travelling with children a lot easier and enjoyable. The attention to detail in this property is fantastic. The welcome basket , milk and water in the fridge was a very thankful surprise for when we checked in after a long drive. Everything you would need and more is available. Decor is beautiful. Linen excellent quality. Absolutely spotless throughout , everything was perfect. My only regret is that we were only here for 2 days as I would have loved to stay for longer! Absolutely 100% recommend. And we would love to visit again. Thank you Steph. Excellent host.

Everything about the West Tower and surrounding area is fantastic, as is communicating with Pete. However, I find the extra charge applied by Airbnb (which we didn't pay less than a year ago) to be extortionate. Took the edge off what was a great holiday.

A lovely little flat, full of character. The clear instructions and photos made it easy to get in. We felt right at home and slept very well in the very comfortable bed. Thank you for having us Deb.

Abi’s place was in a great location overlooking the sea. The house was immaculate with high quality fixtures and fittings. It was very spacious and ideal for our family of 4 with one baby

Lovely clean and well presented accommodating including a well stocked biscuit tin. Kitchen was very clean and as was the rest of the flat and the flat and the walk-in shower/bathroom was very easy as was the shower, with great water pressure. Finally, all within a stones throw of a host of restaurants.

Fab stay at Diane's place. Lovely apartment equipped with everything you could need for a holiday. Loved the location which is peaceful and close to the beach and nature, yet also a great base for exploring.

We booked this apartment at very short notice following a change in our plans. The hosts responded very quickly to make the property available for us and even allowed us flexibility with our check in. The Old Bakery exceeded our expectations and was perfect for our short break holiday being close to Cullercoats and Tynemouth centre and a great stretch of beach. Next time we are looking to stay in the area we will definitely be booking this again.

Stayed a couple of night and wished we could have stayed longer. Bob was really helpful and the place was beautiful and clean. We will be coming back

Thank you Lynn for a wonderful 4 days at your apartment. Bringing my mum and dad back to Sunderland after years away has been made so much nicer by having a perfect place to say. Communication has been excellent since the day I booked to the day you met us when we arrived. Seeing my parents smiles when we walked in told me I had made the right choice, you were so welcoming and the views from the living room are amazing, everything was fantastic and your advice on where to go for the football was perfect 👌🏻 Communication has been excellent and it was so good to meet you on our arrival, hopefully we will return in the near future as there are still many places to return to for more reminiscing.
