Family-friendly vacation rentals in Bloomington

We’d had a last-minute cancellation at another Airbnb in Kentucky due to flooding in that area. We immediately looked for a new place that we could escape to for some nature & unplugged time, and stumbled upon Garrett & Ewan’s listing—luckily a short drive for us. It is a gem of a find! Cozy home in a private setting with trails and on the water—hot tub was a bonus! We loved sitting around the fire pit, too. The loft was perfect for our teenagers. The rockers on the porch were our go-to in the morning for coffee. We commented several times on how it would be even better to stay in the summer—lots to do outdoors for all. The beds were a bit firm but that is just a personal preference. The house was clean & comfortable—definitely made for a great escape from the busyness of life. Garrett & Ewa were incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions we had. We were grateful they accepted a last minute booking! It was just the type of R&R our family needed.☺️

The Boulders Lodge worked out perfectly for our mountain biking trip to Brown County. The lodge had ample space for 7 of us. The two kitchens had everything, the beds and bedrooms give everyone the space they needed. The drive to Brown County State park was 15 minutes.

Beautiful and cozy home. Loved being able to use the hot tub and pool table. Having the lake in the back was an added bonus. Less than 2 miles from downtown Nashville.

The house was perfect for our large group, lots of sleeping accommodations and host was very responsible to a few minor issues.

Tom and Robert were the best hosts—so friendly, polite, and welcoming! They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, from allowing a flexible check-in and check-out to ensuring we had everything we needed. The property itself was stunning, with a beautiful setup that made for a perfect getaway. The hot tub was an absolute highlight—so relaxing and exactly what we needed. We were especially grateful that we were able to have fun without any issues, and they were so accommodating throughout our stay. To top it all off, their dog is absolutely adorable! We can’t recommend this place enough and would love to return. Thank you, Tom and Robert, for an unforgettable experience!

My mom, my sisters and I have a great girl's weekend at Robert and Tom's. The house was extremely clean, the environment was relaxing, the hot tub was great and we had plenty of space. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect for a large gathering - lots of room. Neighborhood is very nice with a park nearby and walking trails. The house itself is in need of some sprucing up (eg moldy dead leaves covering the glass ceiling of the sun room, missing baseboards, cabinet doors in disrepair). However the bedrooms had good mattresses and ok furniture. We did have to laugh that “no parties” are allowed when the house seems set up for a rager (LOTS of beds everywhere in kind of odd places even in the garage/billiards room and in the dining area off kitchen!), 26 chairs on the back deck and 2 blenders! All in all perfect for a casual large group stay. Host is super responsive!

This place was perfect for our IU football weekend activities. It was close to the campus, stadium and many restaurants and the college mall area. We will definitely stay there again!!!

Hosts were super friendly and communicative. We really appreciate the clear instructions for check in and check out. The place was super cute (decorated really well) and clean. Perfect for four people! The kitchen had everything you needed to cook including spices. We really appreciate the free drink vouchers to Cardinal Spirits. Walkable distance to switchyard park and other restaurants! The only thing that was a bit unexpected but we didn’t mind was how low the loft bedrooms ceiling was it felt very cozy. Overall, this was a great stay and if we ever visit Bloomington again, we will be booking this place.

The townhouse was perfect for a few nights stay. it was clean, on a quiet edge of Bloomington so it wasn't super noisy with traffic, check in was easy. as was check out. it was worth what we paid to have over a hotel room by far. only time you could hear neighbors was when they entered or left as the doors sometimes shut quite hard.

Our stay here was wonderful! This is a hidden gem in Bloomington, a cute little quiet neighborhood-feel.

It was great stay at this place for my wife and I. Was there for over a month and had little complaints!

The property was absolutely beautiful! Came for a wedding that was close by and enjoyed a wonderful night around one of the two fire pits. Wish we had more time in the morning to explore more of the property. Our dog really enjoyed the expansive forest. Alexandra was amazing and super communicative with anything we could have needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Staying right in town was so much fun and very convenient. I love the space and have already rebooked!

Great spot with easy access to Lake Monroe. Host was very helpful and responsive.

This is a repeat stay for us. We love staying at the Overlook for our family get togethers. Plenty of room, enough supplies for guests staying and large gathering areas. Lots to do in the area as well. Paula is an awesome hosts and quick to reply and very accommodating making our stay always delightful.
