Luke and Jacynta's place is nothing short of magical. It's incredible how immediate the relaxation and peace sets in on arriving. They have such a beautiful, well put together get-away and you can see how much thought they've put into everything and everything provided. We so appreciate this beautiful little escape and our wonderful hosts so much. I can't stop telling people about how much of an incredible time it was. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Cross Country over the long weekend as a family of 3. The cottage is in a stunning and private location with great views all around. We enjoyed the views of sunrise, sunset, the starry night sky as well as an early morning chase of the A3 comet! The cottage is very comfortable and homely, and is more spacious than the photos suggest. The lawn area is large, and we were given privacy to roam and enjoy the outdoors. We are hobby astrophotographers, and really appreciated that the hosts kept the property nice and dark for us (without us asking). We visited Esk, Toogoolawah, Somerset dam and Watt's Bridge (when a special breakfast event happened to be on during our stay), as well as Wivenhoe on our way back to Brisbane. Would recommend for a good value family stay.

If you’re looking for a private, relaxing getaway, this is the one 🏠 From the moment we arrived and tailed Debbi & John car through their field to the private, beautiful cabin by the creek, we knew we were in for a treat. The tiny home felt so spacious and had everything we needed - a BBQ, firepit, torches, bug spray, you name it. We had a lovely time walking along the creek trying to spot platypus and playing with cameras to take photos of the stars. A bonus- from some other reviews, we weren’t expecting to have internet connection so had downloaded a few movies. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we had great connection (we’re with Optus), which meant we could Google some of the beautiful birds we saw, and try to map the constellations we could see from bed 💫

We had to cancel because of circumstances beyond our control but Ian was a pleasure to deal with. We were so looking forward to staying at his beautiful cottage too, but we hope one day to get there.

Claire, Your house is divine and took our breath away as soon as we walked in the door. It has absolutely everything we could have wanted, space, privacy, pool, sauna, spa, huge garden area to free roam, and all the comforts of home you could want. Claire thank you for being so responsive to any questions we had, the very clear instructions and opening your home to share with us. We will be back. Wendy xx

Two nights wasn’t nearly long enough! We’re already counting down the days until we can come back to this beautiful home on such a stunning piece of land. The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need, making it feel like a true home away from home. Lauren and Scott have done an amazing job with every detail, from the cozy decor to the immaculate landscaping. We loved every moment and can’t wait to return. A few extra things to note - The private swimming hole was amazing - Finally a place with great wine glasses - The coffee pods supplied were quality - The property is dog friendly & fully fenced, our pointer loved the freedom.

The stay was very peaceful and private- beautiful plants through the entrance making it feel like a little oasis. A great place to just check out for some time away doing little- only thing is no streaming services so back to the basics of tv channels so more a place to catch up between guests and enjoy each others company without technology being a focus. Nice touch with breakfast supplies meaning no need to go out in the morning unless you want too.. Overall would come back to stay :)
