One mile from Church Stretton Cardingmill Valley & has access to over 12 local pubs in the area . Dogs are very welcome at a small extra cost

Situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Longmynd Cottage is perfectly situated for those who want great walking opportunities, families who like fresh air or writers and artists who require some solitude in beautiful surroundings. A lovely old country pub with good food and beer is 5 minutes walk away. Birdlife is abundant with Buzzards, Red Kites and a Woodpecker is a frequent visitor to the garden. There is no light pollution so stars are incredible and sometimes the Auroa is too!

Our lodge lies in a sheltered spot above the bank of the Darnford Brook as it gently meanders along the Shropshire Way. The private garden connects with the footpath leading straight up onto the Long Mynd where you can explore the 5000 acre National Trust AONB, including the Jack Mytton Way and Offas Dyke. Alternatively, follow the byway as it makes its way towards the Stiperstones. The well maintained paths, bridleways and mountain bike trails offer fabulous opportunities for exploring.

The Garden Room is a private, off-grid apartment that is perfect for couples in search of a quiet break or looking to explore the area. It has basic cooking facilities along with a king size bed, a walk-in shower and a wood burning stove. We have reliable wifi, no tv and an ok mobile signal. Plenty of wildlife - hares, deer and a recent night-time sighting of pine marten. Lovely up here this time of year - a big sky, far reaching views and rich autumn colours as the leaves begin to turn.

It’s just that we know that the main reason so many guests return to the Pottery is simply because of where it is. The Pottery nestles next to the Longmynd, a 6,000 acre area of National Trust moorland. An area of outstanding natural beauty, the scenery and views are stunning. And you're just 5 minutes drive from the supermarket and amenities of Church Stretton.

Enchmarsh Farm barn

Small barn in the midst of a working Dairy and sheep farm right next to our home with fabulous walks all around. Double bed with small shower room and mini kitchen area in the corner of the room. Ideal as walking base or base when working in the area. Good parking just outside the barn - vehicles can be left whilst you walk the glorious hills around. Cooked breakfast available in the dining room in the farmhouse for £10 per person - includes the choice of sausage, bacon, eggs etc.
