Amazing! Ainslie and Dan were fantastic hosts & the property just delightful, well and truly exceeding our expectations. The property is well furnished, beautifully styled, immaculate and well equipped with everything you could possible need for a relaxing stay. The additional fridge and pantry items were a lovely surprise and meant we could settle in without the need to feel rushed to get the shops. The location was perfect being so close to essential amenities with the views of Lake Macquarie just superb. We particularly enjoyed having our morning coffee out on the balcony watching the sunrise. Our holiday at Helen's lakeside property was absolutely fantastic! The location could not have been more perfect, right in front of a serene lake with picture-perfect scenery. The view from the property was breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. The spacious outdoor deck allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty around us, whether we were having meals, playing games, or simply soaking in the view. Inside, the house was just as impressive—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that Helen has taken great care in maintaining the property, and it made our family feel right at home. What made this holiday even more special was the fact that it was a multi-generational trip with our children and grandchildren. Loved our stay at Ilana’s house. The setting is lovely, rooms very comfortable and we spent many happy hours sitting around the table on the deck admiring the view. It’s so nice to go to an air bnb that has the kitchen essentials. Thank you Ilana, hope we can return one day.

I had a beautiful stay at DJ's place. Absolute lake front house, great taste of interior decor, pristine clean and comfy, stunning lake view, peaceful and calming surroundings, free kayaks and paddle boards to play around, definitely a great place to slowdown and recharge. David is very friendly and easy to communicate, fast responses and thorough 👍. highly recommended.

Stephanie was a great help getting inside as the second gate can be missed. But lovely cosy home perfect for winter getaway and exploring the area. Feeding the horses and ponies was a highlight and sitting outside by the fire pit looking at the stars was magical

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful lakefront property! The views were absolutely stunning – waking up to the calm water just outside our window was magical, as was the serene sunset. It was spotless, beautifully styled, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing two-night stay, including a cheese platter provided. It was the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy nature, and soak in the peaceful surroundings. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene getaway right on the water!

The cottage is great — nothing fancy, but very well-equipped. The location, the view, and the lagoon in the backyard are absolutely amazing. It's a wonderful place to stay. The only downside was that the listing mentioned a firepit, but when I asked the hosts, they said there wasn't one due to safety risks. That was a bit disappointing. However, the communication with the hosts was excellent.

We enjoyed staying at this place. The amenities within the place are amazing and well thought. Simone is also very helpful in giving recommendations of places to visit in the area.

The Cottage is a quaint, clean comfortable waterside pad in which to enjoy the truly tranquil surrounds of Berowra Waters. Sue was a terrific, warm and friendly host. We were grateful for the pick up service, kayaks, tinnie and tips. Well stocked kitchen and lots of games. Highly recommended.

4 days at Captains Cabin was so relaxing. We went kyacking around the island & to Lovetts. Fished off the jetty & caught so many different types of fish. Flathead, Snapper, Brim, Flounder, Whiting... Scotland Island is full of lovely alternate locals wandering by & wildlife.

Cozy, clean and private accommodation close to some beautiful places. We were only able to visit briefly this time but will be back!

A fantastic stay in a rustic cabin. Mackerel Beach is a stunning spot, and this cabin makes the most of it with an incredible upper deck offering breathtaking views—not to mention what might be the best outdoor shower I’ve ever experienced! The perfect escape from the city to unwind and explore the simple things — cooking, bush trails, walks and swimming. We took our two young boys who loved it (they were also absolutely fine making the journey up to the cabin).

Elize was a great host and the place was perfect for our needs.

The room is very clean and tidy! The backyard walk and fishing is great too! Larry also provided bait and hooks for my son who forgot these. My whole family is very happy here. Hope to come back in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Astrid’s beautiful hideaway. With its spectacular river views and peaceful, secluded location, it was the ideal weekend escape from the city. Kayaking along the river was a scenic highlight, and cosying up at night by the wood fire made it even more special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a romantic getaway nestled amongst nature.

Staying on the river was paradise. It was beautiful - especially from the deck! My only two suggestions is to share there is no wifi and that the beds are pushed up against a wall. Also, at least for us, there was no data connection. We were able to go into town and use the cafe wifi, but if we had seen in advance (there was a message about no wifi at the bottom of the description), we would have prepared better for working remotely. Also for older people, the beds only allow one person to get out and the other person has a wall they sleep along. Other than these two minor items that can be communicated in the description, the accommodation, the location and all of the extras are excellent. We enjoyed the bbq, the kayaks, the hammock and the firepit. Everything was comfortable and the a/c was helpful sleeping at night when there was a controlled burn. We definitely recommend staying here.
