Penelope was very responsive and communicative with us, everything went beyonf smoothly and there was 0 hiccups! Walking distance from little boutiques and stores really made it even more convenient! The place itself was beautiful, layout, artworks, and entertainement was spot on! Don't hesitate to book there because it's worth the escape!

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

Absolutely lovely host with a lovely home. I mentioned that my family was coming to town for a loved one that was about to pass and she left flowers and wine on the counter as a gift. Beyond that she is exceptionally responsive and really worked with us given our circumstances. The home itself is one block away from kings street with many bars and restaurants a short walk away. It has a water view and also has a water front park across the street. My dogs also LOVED the backyard and had a great time during our stay as well.

Convenient location. Close to many stores such as Loblaws, LCBO, Shoppers, etc...all that you would need during a visit. Plenty of restaurants as well. Right off Bank St but far enough that it was very quiet. House is very quaint, clean and well maintained. Hardwood floors are a little slippery especially the stairs. Had to be extra careful. We didn't use the basement including the laundry or sauna but very clean if you needed to. Outdoor space is very nice but it was too cold for us to use. Queen beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows to choose from. The 2 single beds upstairs...very hard and uncomfortable. My daughter decided to sleep on the couch instead after day 1. Kitchen is well stocked if you needed to cook. Would definitely stay again.

We were extremely pleased with our stay. We had to get in touch with Maria Kristina prior to our arrival as we had an issue. She was readily available then and during our entire stay. Her place was very well appointed with so many extra’s. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect walkable location for multiple family events in the Byward Market area. It was a very quiet and safe street, but many close high quality restaurant options. We walked back late at night from an event with our children and felt safe. Very quiet and comfortable at night with our sleeping children. We had one small issue upon arrival and our hosts responded immediately to help us. Thank you for the great visit!

This is a small, well equipped one bedroom flat in a nice part of town. Very quiet. Both hosts are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Arash and Mojgan are fantastic hosts! They are two of the nicest people I have ever interacted with in a short term rental. They were generous with their time and Arash helped carry luggage when we arrived and departed. The apartment was easy to find and was exactly as described in the listing. I highly recommend this great apartment; its in the heart of the city, but on a very quiet street!! The beds were super comfortable. The location is great and we enjoyed that there were so many parks and activities in walking distance! Arash and Mojgan even let us check out late on our last day. They were both so kind, helpful, and communicative through our stay.

The self check-in instructions were very clear. The unit matched the photos and description, I could not have been happier with this choice. Truly felt like a home away from home. Marina checked in to see if I needed anything during my stay. Overall, it felt private and secure. Wonderful place!

Amazing stay. Place was very clean and nice. Location is so cool. What a little dream town.

Beautiful little suite. Central to both universities. Love how close it was to TD Place. We were able to park the car and walk to a PWHL game. Once home we cracked open the cards that were provided and had some lovely family time. Everything we needed for a great visit to Ottawa.

Great stay while visiting family in the area. Lots of room for them to come over for dinner.

Jacob and family were great… The location and the house was perfect, the views from all the rooms were gorgeous… It was walkable from the river and the locks with a private access from the house. Very quite and peaceful. The fall festival was a plus and the heritage stable horse riding - farm experience was the highlight of our stay specially for our animal loving daughter. Katy and her daughter made this experience a memorable one. We are surely going to be their regular guests.

A beautiful, well equipped, and spacious home to enjoy with loved ones. Visited in late fall but can easily see the potential of the ultimate summer hangout with all of the great amenities in the yard. Added bonus of many provided things that most other airbnbs rarely provide: plenty of firewood and kindling, pantry basics, tea and coffee, more than enough kitchen tools and supplies. The only negative comment - while the fire pit is sizeable and interesting with the modern design, it does not allow for much air flow so the fire would not burn strong enough to feel any warmth while sitting on the benches. We are very experienced with campfires and fireplaces, and we’ve never had to work so hard to fight a fire!
