Monthly Rentals in Bearpark

Had a great stay, place was very clean and well equipped, hosts were very helpful.

The cottage has a lovely position: 1/ off the road down a 30 meter drive; 2/ walking distance from Durham centre with lovely Wharton Park on the way. Park allows dogs off the lead and has great views over Durham. It also has a large, warm, modern, dog friendly cafe with a lovely lady serving food and drink; 3/ almost directly across the road from the cottage is a footpath that runs for miles along the edge of farm fields with a hedge on one side and great views to the horizon on the other. The second field warns of possible cows with calves, but signs on later fields ask for dogs "to be kept in sight". Wellington boots advised in winter for a short stretch of first field. Marina was the prefect hostess. We booked last minute, but no problems. On the last night the O2 internet failed and Marina came out directly and identifying O2 as problem went home and back to set us up with an EE connection! Walking dog into Durham works well as cafes, restaurants and cathedral dog friendly!
