Casas particulares vacation rentals in Bayamo

Excellent communication beforehand. Host answered every question quickly and clearly. Casa is less than ten minutes walk from thé center of Bayamo . All exactly as pictured. Filling, fresh breakfast. Roof terrace with rocking chairs was great to get some breeze in the evening. Bayamo travel agency very useful if you want to do trips to Santo Domingo, they really went above and beyond. Meson du Chichipapa is a great eating option.

The place is actually not a typical Casa particular, but a real eco resort. You will stay in your own bungalow on the property of the host family, of which there are several. Amenities are simple but functional. The air conditioning is a bit nonsense because the room is largely open (safely protected by fly screens), so you would have to cool the entire Sierra Maestra if you throw it on, which you don't have to, because in the altitude even in the altitude, the night temperature was completely OK with us in the hot summer. Ceiling fans also provide a refreshing breeze. So everything is fine. The location is spectacular. In the middle of the Sierra Maestra, right at the entrance to the national park, on the other side of the river. You can't get any closer to nature. A small path leads from the Casa to a holiday camp and then to some small cottages with lots of pets, so if you like, you can enjoy a large dose of rural Cuba with a small walk. In the Casa itself, on the other hand, you have the feeling of nature in the forest. Particularly beautiful is the restaurant belonging to the Casa, which also serves as living room. Here you can sit outside, the bar is open to guests at night, there is beer and cocktails, and of course breakfast and dinner, both at very fair prices in very good quality (but no choice - there is just a dish, on the first evening it was wonderful suckling pig with us, on the second juicy chicken). The friendly staff organize all the desired excursions and also arrange this with the national park staff (you can't do anything without a guide), which is very convenient. The mandatory tour to Comandancia La Plata, where Castro spilled out before the Revolution, is easy to arrange, even horseback rides. If you come by car: you can easily and safely park on the other side of the river, the friendly helpers drag your suitcases over the river. Extremely recommended!

The lodge in the mountains is special. The journey is a bit bumpy, but it's worth it. Ulises also helps if you want to take a tour in the Sierra, e.g. to the Comandancia. Food was good and plentiful and in the nearby river you could swim a little.

the place at Lorenzo's is really top notch! clean and tidy, friendly host and pleasant in everything. with TV ,air conditioning, bathroom with toilets you can't expect more. Really top notch place. When there was no electricity (not the fault of the host!) Lorenzo brought a mobile electric battery🙂. Breakfast that he prepared for me on order is also great. I am very satisfied, recommend to everyone 👌

Our stay at Yanisel's was our biggest surprise and love at first sight! She has unparalleled tenderness and kindness! Just for her and her husband Bayamo is worth a day trip! She will always be there to help you, guide you. Bayamo is an ideal point for visiting the Sierra Maestra, feel free to ask Yanisel who will take care of this for you. The place is well located, not too far from the terminal and close to the center. The home is very neat, clean and warm. The small terrace is ideal for spending some time over a drink and resting. Again, Yanisel was unparalleled in kindness, sincerely she is adorable and did us service without return requested, we would recommend this place without hesitation! Thanks again Yanisel! ❤️

Oscar and his wife were lovely to us. We had a great welcome with a natural juice and the best recommendations. We loved the restaurant they recommended! Also noteworthy are the breakfasts offered to those who are not lacking in anything. It was a pleasure staying with them and I would definitely recommend them.

Gabriel and his wife were friendly all the time! During our stay, they tried their best to make it comfortable for us. Gabriel gave us a lot advices about those trips you can explore the nature around Bayamo. Those were really useful. The Casa is in the Center of Bayamo so everything is very close with couple minutes walk. During the day there could be couple cars driving by but in the evening it‘s really quiet and I did have good sleep which is soooo important during a long travel. To the viazul bus station you just take a Cubano „taxi“ with 5 CUC, it‘s very convenient. The two restaurants we tried, recommended by Gabriel, were really good. I totally recommend here to all the guests.

We had a lovely stay at Rodolfos and Rosas place! The room was nice and Rodolfo was always there for us if we had any questions, thank you!

Absolute recommendation! Perfect for nature lovers and adventurous travelers. It's super relaxing to enjoy the beautiful scenery! Ulises and his family were always very helpful, reliable and accommodating, he took care of a transport for us to his place and back and a trip to Comandancia La Plata. The dinner was very tasty! We would definitely come back!
