Had a lovely two night stay in Matthew’s place, the lodge felt very homely and had everything we needed. Matthew was very responsive and gave us plenty of local recommendations. Had the place ready early so managed to check in early afternoon. Plenty to do within walking distance (restaurants, shops etc). Would definitely stay again

Richard’s lodge was a perfect place for us to stay for the weekend. It’s nearby both Ambleside and Windermere which is really convenient. It is a lovely lodge, really cosy and kept very clean by Richard. It has everything you’d need. Would definitely stay again. Great place and great host!

Fabulous cottage, perfect location with wonderful walks from the door and easy access to great pubs across the driveway, and down in the village.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Our Airbnb was a thrill to arrive at! An old English manor that once housed the Wordsworth family welcomed us with a box of goodies and large rooms that overlookd the lake and waterfalls on the side yard (garden). We were over the moon enchanted by the lovely design of the home filled with comfortable areas to lounge in. We used the fireplace daily and loved being with each other playing cards, doing a puzzle, cooking, and watching movies after our daily long hikes. The weather was gorgeous everyday offering sunshiny skies that dazzled the mountains and lakes. Our host, Kate, promptly answered any questions we had. We highly recommend this beautiful place conveniently located in Grasmere and sure hope we can return again!

This is a fantastic place, we have stayed here several times previously and look forward to staying here again. Check in is via a key safe making access very convenient. The bungalow is extremely clean, well appointed, warm and comfortable. Joe is always available and responds quickly to any communication. Joe always leaves a variety of treats for both humans and dogs which is greatly appreciated. We have already booked to come here again and would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in the Lake District as it is a perfect base for access to other areas within the Lakes.

The location is fantastic, absolutely stunning and peaceful. Diane was very kind to let us in a touch early, which we appreciated. We loved being surrounded by the sheep and having a visit from the Alpacas in the garden. I would recommend this to anyone that fancies an escape from the hustle and bustle!

We had such a lovely time staying at the beautiful cottage. Such a peaceful and private area, it is perfect to completely relax! The hosts have considered everything to make this the perfect stay for any guests, from local recommendations to including games in the property, we would highly recommend checking out the guide for what’s on in the area/where to visit. We spoke with Will during our stay, he was extremely kind and helpful, we arrived to the area early and he managed to get us in the accommodation earlier which we greatly appreciated! We had the perfect break here and are looking forward to exploring the other accommodations the hosts have to offer! Thanks again

We had a fantastic stay due to the brilliant views and gorgeous cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean, really lovely furniture in all rooms, great log burner, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you needed, the bathroom is very stylish, the sofas and beds are comfy too! Even though we didn’t have great weather, it still felt like a lovely break because of the peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed local walks, especially along Coniston Water. We had a lovely meal at the Crown Inn and sampled the local ales at the Black Bull in front of the open fire. We would recommend staying here and would also love to come back again!

Lovely house and as described with all amenities in a quiet location. Close to Hawkshead which was great. Tricky to walk to the pub (Outgate Inn) with kids at night as road very narrow and a little dangerous. Also shame there is no gate to provide access to the fields in front of the property….The gate at the side is closed. Thanks very much for a great stay…
