Beautiful place to stay and relax with incredible views of the surrounding fields (with sheep) and the mountins in the distance, added bonus with a clear night sky the stars were insane. The interior was just as beautiful and the huge windows allowed to see the view from pretty much anywhere. Couldnt recommend enough!

We stayed at the cottage over the weekend and it was the most relaxing experience. We brought our dogs and they had a blast. Red and Patrick take so much pride in this space and it shows with the home grown herbs and tea they provide. We will definitely be revisiting!

Beautiful views. Lovely place with everyone we needed

Bob and Shirley are so amazing and honestly made us feel at home. The property was pristine and they have looked at every small details so much so that one can’t ask for anything more. Both of them never seemed to be a stranger to us from the time we met them, felt as if they were part of our extended family. Our 2 daughters loved to be around them any time and with their dog, Jenny. Especially our 2-year-old, kept asking for Bob & Shirley (as she address them as ‘grandpa’ & ’grandma’) each time she stepped out of the front door. Kids had wonderful time feeding the animals and it was a one of a kind experience when Bob offered a ride in his so loved Vintage 1915 Ford T. Bob and Shirley gave us a great company throughout and we had some great conversations during our stay. As much as we miss them now after checking out, I am sure Bob & Shirley will have a similar feeling. I would highly recommend Bob’s & Shirley’s property to others. We wish them good health and happiness.

Elbert's cottage in muckleford is perfect for a relaxing time away. The rural setting is very tranquil and the cottage is set up so you have everything you need. We had a great time there, playing tennis, messing around on the dam on the warm days and the pizza oven was a real treat. Elbert was very helpful and gave loads of local directions and was very responsive and helpful. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to get away from it all.

We really enjoyed our stay at the unique Gumnut Huts. Dimity was a great host, sending us recommendations and was always very responsive to questions. We went to the Castlemaine festival which was only 10min drive away, and the huts were a perfect retreat from the business of Castlemaine. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys down to earth simplicity and being out in nature.
