Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Bad Schandau

Chorah’s place is perfect for families who want to have time out in a peaceful neighbourhood and leafy surroundings. It’s got all you need - a large kitchen and dining hall, green areas for playing, sauna and swimming pool. The house is well-equipped and well-maintained by Jan. Also, it was lovely to hear that the maintenance and cleaning are being done by the local people. Tisa rocks, which is only 10mins walk from the house, was beautiful and it was an easy hike.

We spent three days in Tisa. The accommodation is in a great location, we explored Saxon and Bohemian Switzerland from there, as well as the Tisa walls. These are within walking distance, as well as a great little restaurant. Dominik was very nice and helpful. We were allowed to enter the accommodation a little earlier because we were too early. The accommodation has everything you need, was absolutely clean and very lovingly and nicely furnished. We would book again in a heartbeat if we needed a place to stay there.

We were traveling as a hiking group in the area and felt very comfortable with Dirk. The house and its amenities more than met expectations. Communication went smoothly. Glad to come back!

I visited Dresden for a couple of days and stayed at Rolf’s place. Rolf is an amazing host, he always replies immediately and ready to help. The apartment is clean, cosy and matches to all the details in the description. The place is quiet. The district is nice, there is a supermarket Netto nearby, and a tram station is not far from the house, so you can easily get to the downtown. I travelled by car, so I had a free place to park in front of the apartment. I loved this place and I do recommend staying at Rolf’s if you plan on visiting Dresden.

We had 2 wonderful weeks! From the house you could reach many great hiking destinations within a short time, the absolutely worthwhile hikes to the Lilienstein and the Brand even on foot (including a large "off-road" dog!). We felt very comfortable in the house after long, fulfilling hikes, although our dog (who is absolutely "stair-hiking-friendly") avoided the stairs down to the kitchen. You should know that the bathroom and kitchen are on the lower floor and the living room/bedroom are on the upper floor. We didn't miss anything, so we can only recommend the accommodation and this fairytale spot on earth!

What can I say? It was the most comfortable and pleasant time I’ve ever had. I was on a 12-day journey through Germany and the Czech Republic, and I must say, it was absolutely lovely to come home, I mean this home. It just truly felt like home! We lit a fire in the fireplace while enjoying the wine that Michael had left behind for us. It was a truly memorable experience, and I highly recommend this place.

We had a lovely time in Bad Schandau and Villa Monsei! We only found the associated parking space of the apartment difficult: this could only be reached via a bridge that was questionable in our eyes (with regard to "touching down"). We decided to park on the opposite side of the street. Otherwise, we had nothing to complain about and were super satisfied with the apartment, check-in was easy and there was everything you need for a relaxed stay in Saxon Switzerland 😇

We felt completely comfortable in the apartment! The place was spotlessly clean and very comfortably furnished – just as pictured. The good accessibility by public transport was also particularly pleasant. Get out of the S-Bahn... up the "mountain"... walk 200 m... relax. The view of the Lilienstein and the Königstein Fortress were very nice. The hostess was extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive at all times. You can tell that she really cares about the well-being of her guests. We can fully recommend the apartment!!!

Great, clean and well-equipped place to stay. We enjoyed the weekend very much and had a good time the three of us in the accommodation. We were particularly enthusiastic about the good amenities. We didn't miss anything. We'd love to come back.

It was a lovely experience! Eva is a very kind and ambitious host, the place is built and decorated in a very cozy and nostalgic way. The garden is peaceful and relaxing. Communication and arrangements were easy going. The area is very nice for hiking trips with children and spending time around. We will surely come again :)

We stayed in the apartment for 3 nights and it was really nice. We had some of our own supplies with us, but the way to Pirna or Bad Schandau is very short. The tranquility of the area was great and everything is very close to each other on foot. The ferry goes every 10 min. over to the S-Bahn - from about 6:30 (I think) to about 23:00. There is also a small snack in the street and there were always good places to get in the restaurants on the market square. In the apartment everything was super clean and well organized, the Wi-Fi worked well and the contact with Matthias was super friendly.

The very cozy and comfortable apartment is the perfect starting point for numerous hikes in the Bielatal, to the bastion, etc. We also recommend a trip to Hohnstein and from there to Waitzdorf, where you can walk from the parking lot (about 1.5 km) and have a fantastic view of the Lilienstein, etc.! A stop at the Waitzdorf tavern with delicious home cooking in the cozy beer garden is highly recommended.

Marion is lovely and responsive, and the apartment is a peaceful and comfortable base with everything we needed for our stay. (A washing machine and a dishwasher would be great additions to the apartment, though!)

We used Tobi and Nico's apartment as a base camp for a bachelor party. Everyone was thrilled with the apartment and the location and we felt very comfortable. The connection to the public transport is also very good. And if you want to go for a jog in the morning, you can quickly reach the countryside. Communication with the two was impeccable. Highly recommend.

The accommodation corresponded to the description, everything was great! I can't complain about anything. Above all, I have to perfectly evaluate the host - emergency, willingness. Perfect for me. I definitely recommend it.

Rene's apartment in Pirna is simply top notch. We spent four days here with a friendly couple in early May and enjoyed the numerous opportunities for hiking along different stages of the painter's trail. Rene has already sent us detailed information about the apartment but also to the area, so that we were well prepared, who were then able to enjoy it again for a short time.

Beautiful apartment, spacious, bright and lots of room. Kitchen was well stocked, high end and very modern. No problems checking in and the host was very responsive. Location was quiet and an easy walk to downtown. Lot of restaurants nearby.

This was my fourth stay in Kerstin's beautiful cottage and as always everything was perfect! We took several large (gravel) bike tours from Königstein, which is highly recommended. The house is the best place to unwind and relax, especially of course with the great garden and the very quiet location. There will certainly be another visit there :)

We enjoyed and extended the place by three days. Martina is a very nice host, which also applies to her family who is generous and welcoming. We got many great tips and also our dog got a nice reception and many cookies, which warmed our hearts.
