Family-friendly vacation rentals in Atenas

With the exception of one security guard, who was much more interested in poor decision making, I always love staying in this Airbnb and location. My only recommendation, would be to please have a serious discussion with the administration of the facility to be more flexible with visitors. I run an active association in Costa Rica which provide transportation to visitors in Costa Rica, and I have a number of employees who I met with to discuss, how the business is doing and most important what I must do in the US to increase the travel tourism from New York and Florida. I know sometimes its a little difficult but communication is critical, in order for me to continue to utilize the services at this location. I'm sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused, however, the person who was registered with me at the facility, as included in my party and it is not the first time, she has accompanied me at this facility. Most of all thank you for making the last minutes addition.

We enjoyed staying at Cat’s and Yolanda’s home. Even though there is shared common areas, we felt very comfortable and private. Afternoon swims in the pool and lounging in the hot tub was relaxing. Quiet mornings in the upper deck were peaceful and you could hang out and enjoy the gorgeous valley view. We are fairly active so walks into town were very doable. Atenas has a good mix of tourists and locals and is a friendly town.

Really enjoyed this private little getaway in the city and near the airport. Walkable to a small supermarket and restaurants. Clean, comfortable bed, cozy, helpful and welcoming hosts. We were able to bring our little dog no problem. Would definitely stay again.

Yolanda was extremely flexible and accommodating. I had a potential issue with checking in on time and she was responsive and caring to my situation. The apartment is great for couples looking for privacy with two separate baths.

Mauricio was incredibly helpful and gave us accurate information about the place and how to get there, along with the location of restaurants, supermarkets and places of interest... Thank you Mauricio .......

A beautiful rustic house overlooking the volcanoes. We had a minor issue with the water and Tomás was quick to take care of it. Other than that our stay was perfect. Do keep in mind the biggest room is downstairs, so not suitable for somebody who has trouble with stairs. But the three rooms in the main area still have enough beds. This would be an awesome place for a big family. Close to Poás and the peace waterfalls. My teenage children all loved it.

We stayed at this cottage for the weekend with my family and the experience was just spectacular. The place is too nice, surrounded by nature and with one of the best views of the Central Valley we have seen. The cabin is very well equipped, all spotless and thoughtful down to the last detail. It breathes tranquility and feels a real connection to the environment. It is located very close to the Barva Volcano, which makes it ideal for those who enjoy the mountain and the fresh air. Definitely a place we want to go back to. 100% recommended!

Doña Vilma treated us as if we had been friends for years. Very friendly and helpful. It has a very nice pool. A place to go to rest with the family. It's in a very quiet area and close to shops. They are pet friendly The place is cozy, no frills, but there is a nice family atmosphere. I would definitely go again.

A safe, beautiful and quiet place to vacation. Very close to San José, you can travel quickly to spend a lovely weekend.

Great place, simple, effective and family friendly.

Toucan Tranquility, its pool and patio areas are beautiful. We did not miss a/c. We enjoyed lovely breezes through the patio and at night, it was a great temperature as the location is at a bit higher than Atenas. There is very good privacy - the hosts were at home in the upper level, but their space and entrance to the upper level is entirely separate - they even have a separate gate from the street. It was wonderful to be surrounded by trees, lush greenery and flowers. The beds were comfortable and there were many conveniences such as racks for our suitcases and comfortable furniture. The outdoor kitchen was a new experience for us. It made it possible for us to bake a chicken and a cake. The location was quite peaceful - away from the bustle of Atenas. Cher was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. She shared some recommendations and is the source of a wealth of information. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Pics match the house. Great area. good distance to airport. lots of restaurants at good distance. Volcano Irazu is about 1hr and half away. Fantastic adventure. noted to visit Costa ricas national parks, Volcano go to SINAC and get tickets before. The home felt like home and the manager of the house is Fantastic, nice, and informative about Costa Rica. I went with my family and we all enjoyed the space in the house a lot. Thank you

We really needed a place to disconnect from activity and reconnect with our Creator and ourselves and Eden Atenas was the perfect place for that. The colors and sounds of all the flowers and birds gently refreshed would souls to that we could be completely renewed. What an incredible blessing!
