“What an absolute gem on the city’s doorstep! Bandicoot Springs is an enchanting little getaway, and we can confirm that the bandicoots are very friendly neighbours. We were so in love with the property and little nature walk; it felt like we had traveled hours away from the city but in fact were only 20 mins away. Tim was an excellent host and we were very thankful for the lift in his buggy and all the nice dry firewood. We will be back!”
This is an off-grid, self-sufficient, self contained, Earthship studio apartment in the semi-rural Adelaide Hills, 45min drive from the CBD. Guests will experience a unique stay with a tiny eco-footprint. Close to Adelaide Hills wineries, golf course, bush-walks and other tourist attractions. The Freney family live next door in a passive solar strawbale home - close by if you need advice on sailing the "ship". A place where you can experience the future of sustainable housing!
“My partner and I stayed at the earth ship for our anniversary weekend and we had the most fabulous time! The space was beautiful and it was really cool to learn more about this style of living. The main room linking out to the green house created such incredible vibes and made you feel like you were outside without having to deal with the chilly weather we are currently having. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful nights in front of the fire. Highly recommend this to anyone and everyone!!”
A cosy, curated cottage with a rustic vibe, Ode to the Orchard is surrounded by the Adelaide Hills’ finest wineries and sits high on 16 acres. It is one of the original stone homes of the area and enjoys stunning views of picturesque Lenswood. There is no better place to relax: soak in the gorgeous claw-foot bath looking out to the stars, enjoy that glass of local red by the fire, or try out our apple crumble recipe in the vintage wood-fired Aga.
“We enjoyed our stay and made use of the firewood both inside and out. The Aga was a nice touch and we made apple crumble with the ingredients left for us. So much detail has gone into the charming finishing touches! Location is central to local wineries and restaurants.”
