Cottage vacation rentals in Angoulême

For a few days we were able to enjoy the beauty and comfort of this cottage, located in the heart of a very charming area, as well as the kindness of its owners, Kenneth and Jan. We would highly recommend it and will gladly stay again.

Recommended hosts, very well hosted at Valerie's. very nice accommodation, well-equipped with beautiful furniture, you won't want for anything. We had a lovely weekend with the family, thank you!

We booked Maddy‘s place very last minute. She was very amicable and got the place ready quickly for us! The upstairs mezzanine was perfect t for ours kids. Maddy and her family were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely visit again if we’re passing through. The house was perfect for two adults three children and a dog. Our children are aged 8, 10 and 12 and we enjoyed cycling out to the local town and playing by the swimming pool. The kids loved feeding the goat, there were chickens too. They loved the owners dog too! We visited Royan, it’s approx 30 minutes drive. I would throughly recommend this place!

Everything is relaxing. The old stone mill and its green environment for the eyes, the sound of the river and the birdsong for the ears, the smell of trees in bloom and cut grass. The mill is a 5-10 minute walk to all the amenities that the small medieval town of Pons offers. Louise and Michael welcomed us warmly, caring about our well-being in their home while preserving our privacy. We had a great weekend at Moulin Chaillou, we can only recommend it. We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

Great for a short stay in a beautiful part of France! The host instructions re. local amenities and activities are super helpful given the relatively remote location.

Lovely, welcoming hosts and beautiful accommodation, with the bonus of private, off-street parking. A great find and one we hope to return to in the future! Don’t hesitate to book it if you can!

It was a really nice week in the gîte rosiers. We enjoyed very much the nice surroundings and fun activities nearby. Super friendly hosts, they were always ready for us for help, fun tips and a chat here and there. It is definitely recommended!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Rose's place in Villefagnan, for many reasons. Yvette greeted us, showed us how to use everything, and answered all my questions and requests for help. Rose's home is very comfortable. Top quality beds, pillows and linens, empty dressers so we didn't have to live out of a suitcase, a fully equipped kitchen, the list goes on. The beautiful backyard, with grass, flowers and cherry trees was our favorite place to spend a sunny afternoon. And the village of Villefagnan is wonderful, too. The town square is 2 houses away, and the patisserie is just across the square, so we had fresh croissants every morning. Two restaurants, a bouchère, a corner market, Tobac, and a pharmacy make up the rest of the village, everything you need. There are bike roads in every direction, so our dogs enjoyed long walks every day. The locals are friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back.

We had a great time at Marie Noelle's place! ✨ The space was sparkling clean and matches the photos although they don't show it enough because it's even better and more spacious in real life! The parking space is super convenient and the area is very quiet and charming with some nice little bakeries nearby! Marie Noelle was kind enough to answer all our questions and is very understanding about check-in times! We recommend it! 👌

Stunning gite in a beautiful, quiet location. Equipped with everything you need and very clean. Amanda and Robin were on hand if we needed anything but not intrusive. Lots of info on local attractions and beautiful garden to sit in. Safe for our dog too! Would definitely recommend Amanda’s gite and will be staying here again.

We spent 2 nights in one of the cottages offered by Sandra. Impeccable accommodation, very clean and tastefully decorated! The environment was peaceful and the pool was very nice. We recommend with your eyes closed

We loved our stay here. Beautiful location in rolling countryside, comfortable accomodation with amenities just a short drive away. Our host, Fran was very friendly and responsive. The gite was just lovely. We had a great time and would go back.

We had a great weekend at Karyn's. She was extremely welcoming, the accommodation is very comfortable, very well equipped, the garden and pool are very pleasant. And it was a pleasure to meet their animals throughout the weekend! We'll keep the place in mind for new opportunities, it was really a great weekend.

A really lovely comfortable gite. Amazing outdoor space including a safe pool with loads to entertain the kids. And lots nearby to do for young and old. We really enjoyed it with our two young ones.

We had not been to this region of France before and this beautiful little cottage was so typically French and everything we would have expected and more.  It was immaculately clean, very comfortable and had everything you could possibly wish for. It was the ideal base from which to discover all of the fabulous local areas we particularly loved Brantôme and Angoulême. We wanted a quiet relaxing time and Vayres was just perfect.  The weather was great even in October, most mornings we had breakfast outside after a short walk to the Boulangerie in the village. Tim was a great host with quick communication and very easy to speak to.  If you are looking for somewhere to stay in this region we can thoroughly recommend this lovely cottage you will not be disappointed, we are already planning a return visit.

What a wonderful place, a little paradise! Wenxi and Laurent gave us a warm welcome, you immediately feel completely at home. The house and garden are incredibly charming, and equipped with everything you need. Our children enjoyed the swimming pool and the sweet pets. Top holiday!

We had the most beautiful, relaxing stay. Paul and Rachel are such lovely, friendly hosts full of lovely local recommendations (a highlight was a lovely dinner by the river) and always on hand to help or suggest recommendations. The gite is in a really stunning location - surrounded by fields as far as the eye can see with a beautiful pool. Paul and Rachel kindly put out lots of toys for our children (the skateboard was a hit!) and the bbq was brilliant. We’re looking forward to coming back! Thank you for having us.
