Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Ambleside

Janice was a perfect host , we were made to feel very welcome and knew she was on hand if we needed anything . First cottage is spacious and well equipped , boasting stunning views we particularly enjoyed the peace and tranquility It was perfect for getaway for a holiday with our grandaughters they enjoyed visiting the Roman museum , Hadrians wall and Kielder forest bird of prey center Will recommend to family and friends and hopefully will be back for another visit

It was our first time staying in Lancaster. We were attending a family wedding and much prefer an Airbnb than booking into a hotel. The hosts were very responsive to any query we had and ensured we had everything we needed. The house had everything we needed and there was plenty of towels and bedding provided for our stay. The location of the house was perfect for what we needed. It is a very short walk to the train station which was handy for us as we had to pickup our son and his fiancé from there. It is also perfectly situation for the short walk into the town. I would highly recommend this Airbnb.

Everything was fantastic. David was very responsive and gave us lots of good recommendations. The house itself is beautiful - very secluded with beautiful gardens. It was also huge and great value for the price we paid. Thanks very much Alistair

Loved our stay at this house. The pictures do not do this place justice at all! It was way bigger than expected. The garden was beautiful and had great views with places to sit and enjoy it all. The dog was free to run around as it was totally secure. We enjoyed the use of the bbq for one evening in the house. Beds were very comfy and cosy. The bedroom in the attic was great with a bathroom with a bath. Very relaxing after days of walking! The location of the house is perfect you just have to walk down the hill to get to the local pubs, we also enjoyed the walk up to the copper mine waterfalls. Coniston boating centre is also a walkable distance and we enjoyed taking a boat out, next time I would make more time to do other water activities available down there too! Will recommend this house to others! The only thing I would add would be some comfy outdoor seating with cushions to be able to enjoy spending lots of time out there! 5 stars! Thanks!

Great place, close the the town centre and only 10/15 mins walk to the coast. We were able to find on street parking 5 mins away. The apartment itself had everything we needed, was a large space and the hot tub was a great bonus.

Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

The location was very good in that the centre was within walking distance with a choice of excellent restaurants. The house was spotlessly clean and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

We loved spending Easter weekend in this lovely home. It was well equipped with everything we needed, and we enjoyed both the wood burning stove and the nice sunny terrace after exploring Cockermouth and the Lake District.

My friend and I stayed here for the first time this May, and we were both blown away at how amazing the property is. It was extremely clean, warm and very inviting, and it was great to have an outdoor seating area which was very private and surprisingly quiet considering that we were in the heart of Bowness. The property is very convenient for everything that you need, and Peter is extremely knowledgeable about anything that you need to know. Exceptional stay and we will recommend ADMIRAL'S NEST to all friends and family. This is the only place that I will stay now in Bowness. Thank you Peter .

This is a lovely ground floor flat in an excellent location, it is very well equipped with a lot of nice features and has everything you could possibly need. It is also really nice to arrive to find coffee, tea, milk, etc when you get off the bus after travelling. There is even a little garden area to sit in or hang things out to dry, which is a big plus. Would recommend. It is fantastic for one person or couple.

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

Had a great stay in Bowness-on-Windermere. Location was great, very close to the lake, in the middle of the town. Lots of options to shop, eat, drink nearby. Great view from the balcony. Had a nice stay. Lori was very quick with responses. Would recommend staying here.

Worked really well for us, great location both for town and restaurants (5 mins, Fellpack recommended but book ahead) and local walking. Accommodation was as described, very clean, comfy bed and good / full kitchen equipment. Thanks Steve and Irena.

It was almost perfect for us all. We were trading at a Steampunk weekend held in the platform (the old railway station) & this was within a minute’s walk of the venue. Free parking available outside if you’re quick. Our friends staying with us were attending & arriving/leaving at different times, so not having to worry about keys was really important. Lookout was of the bay & stunning views. Spacious apartment with small details thought of. The 4 of us are used to each other as we stay at each others houses, but here there was no lock on the bathroom door & that was a minor issue for us & could be a major one for others staying here.

This place is absolutely stunning, no photo could possibly capture the true beauty of the building. The huge windows overlooking the stream are pure magic. It was an absolute dream of a stay, if you ever feel the need to just switch off and be alone with your thoughts and really unwind this is the place to do it. 100% I will be booking this again, everything was spotless and the decor is straight out of a cottage/industrial living magazine. There is nothing negative to say about this place other than the pure jealousy I feel that I don't live there full time.

The Parsonage is just perfect, a really lovely apartment, fantastically equipped with all you need and more, with lovely touches like the roll top bath in the bedroom and the private courtyard that opens out off the bedroom, safe and secure for our dog. The Parsonage is ideally located right next door to Kendal Castle, great walks and beautiful views of Kendal. It’s also just a 10 minute walk into Kendal with plenty of cafes and restaurants serving delicious food and dog friendly too. Patrina is a wonderful host, the special treats left in the fridge were very kind and appreciated, her advice to jump on the bus to Rydal Water and have lunch at the Badger Bar made for the best day out with our dog. It all made for a perfect stay and we’ll definitely be back.

We enjoyed our family stay at Glyn’s place very much. Glyn is a friendly gentleman who provided us clear instructions and a lovely place. I’ve been in the Lake District probably a dozen times and this has been my favourite place yet - I’d love to stay again. The beds were comfy. Kitchen really well equipped even for longer stays. The balcony overlooking the river is a proper bonus and a truly delightful place for your morning coffee. I’d rate Glyn 20/10 if I could!

The property was a home from home. It was absolutely beautiful with an amazing garden and view. The property had everything we needed. The hosts communication was clear and proactive leaving no uncertainty about what to expect. The surrounding area is beautiful and the property itself very peaceful. Would definately stay again.

Wonderful studio, great amenities and well-stocked breakfast items in the room, available at any time. Plenty of useful products in the bathroom (makeup wipes, cotton pads, aftersun, etc). Plenty of pillows of different firmness, lots of blankets, some board games available in the room, great for a night in. <10min walk from the station and high street. Very pleased overall, would recommend!

Excellent stay at this apartment, we would 100% recommend and rebook! The balcony and view were a particular highlight. We were also grateful for the travel cot for our baby to use. Good amenities available in the kitchen & bathroom. Raluca was a friendly and responsive host and shared helpful information prior to our stay for a smooth and easy check- in and check-out. The apartment was peaceful and quiet. It made for a relaxing and homely stay. We would recommend Whitbarrow itself, it’s a lovely place for a staycation. We made use of the pool, sauna and gym. Overall a fabulous air bnb - we would love to stay again!

The host was amazing, take care of everything, checking up on every stages during staying, I forgot the backpack left but he still contacted the us for returning back. Really safe and best service.
