Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Alexander County

We had a beautiful stay at the BEE-N-BEE! The home was spotless and nestled in a peaceful, mountain setting with tall trees and fresh, clean air. We loved walking across the street to the honey store — our daughter enjoyed the animals and playground, and the honey was delicious. The owners were incredibly kind and hospitable, and there’s a meaningful mission behind the property that made our stay even more special. It’s close to Boone and Valle Crucis but still felt like a quiet escape. We expected road noise but hardly heard a thing. Sunrise and sunset over the ridges were stunning. The porch was a favorite — mosquito-free with rocking chairs and soft lights that made it feel magical. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was amazing knowing honey is processed right behind the home. We’d absolutely stay again — 5 stars all around!

We had a wonderful stay from May 20- May 25, 2025. Everything was just like the pictures promised. The sunroom & back porch with the rockers were great additions. Location was convenient to our family in Hickory, NC. Hopefully we will be able to stay there whenever we come to NC.

The house was great and there’s plenty of space, if there was anything we needed Skylar was responsive and good with communication. We will definitely be staying again.

This place was perfect for a overnight stay to break our beach vacation trip from WV! The area was private and the backyard was great for the dog to run around in. It was very close to the interstate, which was very convenient! Overall, this place was clean, quaint, and just right for any small family! Thank you!

My friend and I loved our stay at Chris’s place. It was quiet, peaceful, and just what we needed to relax. The location is a very safe neighborhood, where we felt even comfortable getting out and taking a walk. Chris was super responsive to all of our inquiries. Best of all, this place is pet friendly! We hope to return soon.

Wow, what a location right by the lake! We absolutely loved this accommodation. its tastefully decorated, calm, peaceful and private. the living space is sociable and the front porch allows you to enjoy the view of the lake, the birds and just the wonderful peaceful atmosphere. there are kyaks and paddle boards and a beautiful dining area on the jetty. Comfortable beds, pretty linen, great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen make it feel top end. Clearly this place is loved by the owner and we recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil stay. we came to Charlotte for the Speedway but we're so happy we got out of town to explore the countryside and enjoy Lake Norman. Downtown Moorseville is about 20 mins away and was a lovely place for a bit if shopping and some nice coffee ☕️ Thank you Patricia. we highly recommend your beautiful place at Tranquility Cove x

We really enjoyed our stay at Lakefront Serenity. The view was beautiful, house cozy, and loved the friendly cats! ❤️ We felt right at home and had everything we needed. The pedal boat was fun, too.

Ann’s place was perfect! I have already recommended to our family members when they travel to the area. Her directions and explanations were spot on. We were traveling with our little one and had plenty of space and felt like we were at home. We can’t wait to stay again!

I had such a wonderful stay! Karen and Lee are such friendly and inviting hosts! They were very flexible and more than willing to help if I needed anything! The place is so cozy yet so spacious! The garden area is beautiful and the hot tub is awesome! It’s walking distance to downtown Hickory or a 2-3 minute car drive. So many adorable little shops and places to eat there! If you’re staying in the Hickory area then I 10 out of 10 recommend this place! Can’t wait to come back!

What a delightful gem located a short distance away from West Jefferson. Peaceful, pastoral, private setting. Gravel road and parking, but easy to access. Maritza’s Cabin is new and has all the things we needed for a short stay in the mountains. Stove, oven, refrigerator, sink, small coffee, pot, glasses, dishware, etc. For those that count on microwaves, there was not one. It was not a problem for us. Downstairs bed, all towels and linens were good. We had issues with Wi-Fi, but really didn’t need it for a night. Great cell service there. Maritza was very responsive and I would recommend this cabin if you are in the area or thinking about heading that way! When we asked if we could buy some eggs from Maritza, she happily had a few delivered to our front porch for free . Loft sleeping area is a steep ladder and low ceiling, as clearly pictured in the description. Probably best for children or very agile people.

Jason and his team’s Airbnb was a wonderful place to retreat! This clean modern Scandinavian vibe sets a refreshing and restful ambience for unwinding. We enjoyed the quietness of the farm fields, watching cows graze, the fresh breezes blowing, the views of rolling hills and Blue Ridge mountains (clear day) and vineyards in a distance were all enjoyable to see right from the tranquil setting A-Frame. Jason provides you with all you need for quiet and/or entertaining experience: a fire pit and stocked wood pile for a good campfire, clean hot Hot tub for relaxing, assortment of fun board games and corn hole, great books to read, 2 hammocks to swing beside your friend umder the tall trees.. The bed and furniture throughout the Airbnb was comfortable and all looks and feels brand new! Jason and his team were excellent making sure we had everything to make our stay a success! We felt well cared for in this A-frame perched on a hill and we enthusiastically give Jason and his team 💯 %!

This place was an unexpected surprise as to how nice it was. It was perfect for four women going to Merlefest. It was 9 miles away from the festival which was not a big deal for driving back and forth. It was also a welcome get away from the crowds as it is on a mountain with a great view and is pretty remote but not remote enough to be a driving burden. It was exquistely clean. Darren was available within minutes for any questions. The deck was perfect for coffee drinking and visiting in the mornings before facing the crowds. All in all, a great place to stay. The only disadvantage is that the road is kind of rough going up and there are many ruts to avoid. I assume that the neighbors, etal , HOA or whomever will grade the road in the near future.. I know it is hard to maintain a gravel road as we have a lakehouse on a grave road... so I think it will probably be improved soon...

everything was as they described it. there were universal setbacks that were out of their control. however they responded immediately and professionally in resolving everything with us. highly recommended.

We loved it here. Our favorite is the back deck and the view. The kids loved the play room also. It is a great location to go swimming at the lake.

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

This was the perfect prelude to our wedding week and a great place to stay for the All Star Race. Host was responsive and the cabin matched all the photos. Great experience.

We had a wonderful stay! If you’re looking for something private with a beautiful view of the mountains, this is it! It rained a good bit during our stay but we were still able to enjoy the covered porches with rocking chairs. The neighborhood also includes private hiking trails and a small pond.
