In 2020, this stunning villa is hand-carved from a couple hundred year old Karelian sleds. A huge view window gives a spectacular view over the water. Alapiha Arboretum Guesthouse and Sauna

Cozy guesthouse and sauna in a wild wooden park. There are about 250 different species of wooded trees and shrubs in a two-acre area. The tree was planted in 1970 and forms its own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is partly still in natural space and renovation is being made in the area. Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

A modern living area features a wall-mounted television above a sleek white console with an electric fireplace. A geometric storage unit holds logs and soft textiles, while a textured rug adds warmth underfoot. View towards a separate bedroom is visible in the background.

This place is quiet, clean and cozy. It matched the information provided about the listing: The glazed balcony and the spacious river landscape visible from all windows crown the whole. For those traveling by car, there is a parking space for the same price. Life is made easier by S-market across the street. It is open Mon-Sat from 7 am to 10 pm, Sun from 9 am to 10 pm. The distance between the accommodation and the city center is short. Just cross the river along the Suvantos bridge and we are already at the market. If you wish, you can leave your car in the parking lot and move around on foot without any parking problems. Communication with the hosts went smoothly without any problems. Thank you Helena and Olli!

We enjoyed the holiday there very much. In addition to pure relaxation, there were also plenty of activities that were offered to make the stay as unique as possible. The toboggan run, which is only a few minutes walk away from the house, was a super busy for small and large. With the snowmobile provided, we were able to explore the surroundings and drive through the snowy forests. We had a lot of fun! The highlight was also the ice bathing in the lake after the sauna as well as ice fishing. Many thanks to Arthur and his son for sawing up the hole in the frozen lake😁. Definitely worth an experience! We can only recommend this house from the whole family and assure you they will have a holiday like never before with enough fun and relaxation.

The location and the place were wonderful. The house in itself was huge and therefore a very convenient place to stay for our group. The furniture and the equipement were all very fine. Furthermore, the place is located directly to the bank of a river, with a very nice view. It was a very nice and enjoyable experience that we would definitely recommend.
