This is an incredible location if you come for the sights. You wake up looking over the valley and Mt. Fuji. If it’s a clear day, it can’t get any better. I highly recommend the location during the warm months primarily. If you drive there, try to arrive during daylight, the way up can get tricky in the dark.

The property was immaculately cleaned. Got everything you will need to feel right at home with ease. Well ventilated and air conditioned. Host David made the experience much much more welcome as he made sure we have all the information we can get before venturing out. His also leant us two bicycles which really is the best to experience Yamanashi. We followed a few of his recommendations such as Hama sushi, yakiniku king, hottarakashi onsen are fantastic places to check out. He also pointed out a few local discount stores and shopping mall for us. Check in and out was a breeze with full privacy since guess house is separated from main unit. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay in Kawaguchiko! Mt Fuji is right outside the door! It was quiet and very peaceful. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station which was super appreciated! We took advantage of the free bike rental and took a ride around the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at Harou's place. He was nice enough to come and pick us up from the train station and drive us to the accommodation. The house is lovely, very peaceful and well equiped, a good kitchen and the Osen is great. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from a supermarket and major train station. You can just see Fuji from there place but If you wish to see Fuji a little better it is about 50 minutes by bus to Lake Kawaguchi, definitely worth the visit.

Tohru and his wife were both very welcoming, and told us about nearby attractions food, Fuji can be seen directly outside the window of the room, there are free bicycles and provided pick-up and drop-off to and from the station, also when leaving, Tohru also gave us the back Fuji postcard he went to take, really very welcoming☺️

My family loved this cottage, as we come from the city, it was the first time we ever stayed in a place like this. We woke up to the serenity of the nature -- it was such a beautiful and peaceful area☺️😅
