The Black Swan houseboat is truly a special place to stay. Leonora and Erwin have thought of every detail, and the space makes you feel instantly at home. If you are looking for a special place to relax with friends or family, you need to consider a stay at the Black Swan. We would certainly return without hesitation.

Ideal for a small family or a small group of friends who wants to see Amsterdam and most famous tourist attractions around it. Only 20-30 minutes to most places and everthing is easily accesible by car or public transport. Registration is easy and flexible - even if you arrive/leave late or very early. We had a very nice stay here, I would definitely book again. The houseboat is located in a very nice neighborhood, about 40 minutes by bus from downtown Amsterdam. The bus stop is minutes away and there is also a small supermarket nearby where you can get everything you need. The apartment is well equipped, so there was really everything you needed. Especially the bikes, which you could use for free, and the small boat were really great.

Maurice is a great host. Very responsive and helpful. This was my second stay, and it was just as good, if not better, than the first. Would stay again!

We spent one night at Lucinda's and we only wish we could have stayed longer! The apartment is perfect, very well equipped. The view of the surrounding countryside is stunning from the terrace. The setting is really pleasant and peaceful. We had the breakfast prepared by the host and we were not disappointed! It was hearty, for all tastes and everything was very good. We'll be happy to go back again one day.

We were very lucky to be able to stay with Evelin spontaneously from Friday to Sunday. We liked the place very much. The children loved the daily view into the cowshed. Despite the cow stable, it didn't smell in the apartment. The surroundings are fantastic and you can get to know the country and people wonderfully.

It was wonderful to stay in this house, the location was perfect for a quiet holiday but well connected to Amsterdam by public transport, the house cozy and clean with a very nice garden, and Marjolein always available to give us advice and answer all our questions about the area. Everything impeccable, nothing to criticize. Highly recommended!

Very nice place to stay in an excellent location. We felt very comfortable. Ideal for excursions. Everything is very easy to reach and very quietly located right on the water. Very delicious breakfast from Esther for a fee. We will be happy to come back sometime. Thanks to Esther & Marc as friendly hosts.

René went above and beyond for my friend and I’s stay this weekend. We unfortunately had a medical emergency and him and his daughter were right there to help us. He was patient, understanding, and incredibly kind throughout the process, giving us multiple rides to the hospital. We would highly recommend staying at René’s place - close proximity to a bus that takes you into Amsterdam North, cleanly, cozy, and most of all, owned by a host that is willing to go above and beyond for his guests!
