Great private location, a few miles from Whitby and at the doorstep of the North York Moors. Diana was responsive, attentive and an all around perfect host! Would definitely stay again!

The annex at Orchard House is in a tranquil setting. Ever so peaceful and relaxing. Pizzas can be ordered (we did) and they were homemade, very tasty with thin stone baked bases. We had one continental breakfast and one bacon sandwich with coffee for breakfast, all excellent. Marton village is idyllic, picture postcard perfect and a little jewel in the Yorkshire Wolds. Very close to bigger towns and places of interest. For cyclists like us, it gets you onto lots of quiet B roads, amazing landscapes and lots of stop off options for cafes and pubs.

Sarah was very pleasant and helpful. She greeted us when we arrived, and gave us our room key and clear instructions on where we could park for free a minute's walk away, and how to get into Whitby town centre. There were lots of leaflets and information in the entrance area about the local attractions. Our room (6) was on the top floor and was clean and spacious - with a double and a single bed, en-suite shower, plenty of storage space, a sink in the room, mirrors and plenty of sockets. Towels and toiletries were provided. The room was heated well, with a good radiator. The guest house was full at the time of staying as it was Whitby Goth Weekend, but guests were quiet with their movements. A basket was provided for easy key drop off in the morning. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

Lovely and clean and very welcoming. It wasn't noisy on a night time, and the beds were really comfy. Everything available what you would need for an overnight stay. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Would give the cottage and Kitty, our host, a million stars if we could! From the beautiful landscape to the cozy cottage, we loved every minute of our stay. Kitty recommended lots of great restaurants and shops in nearby villages which we enjoyed checking out. Their are walking trails right off the property. We spotted all kinds of birds, deer, and loved the horses and cows nearby. The cottage is decorated so lovely and having a fire in the evening was such a comfort. It's very clean and supplied well with kitchen utensils, coffee, etc. We were genuinely sad to leave! We hope to be back soon, if Kitty will have us! Can't recommend a stay here enough, you will have a wonderful time!

Lovely hosts, great communication and fab house which looked exactly like the pictures, clean, spacious and very comfortable! We were 5 adults and 2 4yr olds, ample space for all of us. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in the area. Thanks so much.

Antje is a wonderful host and Roseberry Loft is perfect. Great location for access to Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas and for exploring the coastline and North Yorkshire Moors. The loft is well equipped and exactly as described. Thanks Antje for a great stay!

Sam’s accommodation was just as described and perfectly fitted our requirements. All beds, including the sofa bed were extremely comfortable and the sofa bed took no time to set up / put back to being a sofa. The kitchen had all we needed and the washing machine was a big plus. Having two bathrooms was an added bonus, particularly as there were four in our party. Sam provided all the pre arrival info that was essential and also additional local info. We needed to contact Sam on a couple of occasions, and the response was incredibly swift.

Terry's place is lovely. It was very cosy and had everything we needed for our short stay. Wed definitely stay again!

We had a great stay here. The place was exactly as described — beautiful, peaceful, and very quiet. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well-organised, and we felt safe and secure throughout our stay. The driveway was super convenient for parking, and the presence of cameras added an extra sense of security. The garden was absolutely stunning — a real highlight of the property. The host was proactive and responsive, which made everything smooth and stress-free. I’d definitely recommend this place and would happily stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Thomas's and Rachel's place so much, we plan to come back. The accommodation is beautifully finished and a real home from home. Nothing was too much trouble for Thomas, he even took us to the train station for one of our trips out. The pub/restaurant on the opposite side of the village green was amazing, so much so we ate there twice. Cannot recommend Thomas's place highly enough.

Very warm, comfortable and quiet room, with thoughtful touches. Excellent kitchen facilities and dining room, all immaculately clean.

Georgia’s home is lovely! the space was perfect for us. it gave us a bit of “elbow room” and is in a great location. Georgia was very welcoming and she was available if needed and enabled us to come and go as we pleased through a private door. i would highly recommend her home and would definitely stay here again. i have recommended Georgia’s to my daughter !

Rogers place was peaceful & down a quiet country lane & an ideal location for what we wanted. They have 3 border collies which we were a bit nervous about escaping once we opened the electric gates but they didn’t attempt to leave the grounds. They were very friendly & no issue at all with them. The accommodation was ideal for what we wanted & we would happily stay again

Graeme and Helen’s place is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a couple of nights with our dog and it was perfect. Lovely area for our dog to safely roam around and a massive paddock area also available to us. The place is spacious and well laid out and has everything you need with additional goodies thrown in. We didn’t use the hot tub but it looked lovely and sure would be a lovely place to be in an evening. Would recommend for anyone to stay and we will look to come back again!

We booked this for a 3 generation family Wedding in Scarborough. Lots of bedrooms meant we could all stay together rather than being scattered all over. Each bedroom all had a private bathroom which was a bonus. Initially we were concerned about the parking as we were arriving in 5 cars and all the streets are disk zoned, we needn’t have worried, there was plenty of space and our host gave us ample permits. We stayed in April so not sure if it’d be the same in the summer holidays. The lounge and dining areas were good sized for us all. Our host was friendly, helpful and flexible, making our stay great. If I had any criticism, we could have used more cutlery, not a huge problem to us as we were only there a couple of days and tended to eat out. Should we all decend on Scarborough together in the future we would definitely stay there again. I would recommend this house for a large group for sure.

Great location between uni campus and city centre, perfect if you want to explore York by foot

Very close to York train station and small but very well equipped and clean. Great place for a quick stopover less than 5 minutes from the river!
