Family-friendly vacation rentals in Westport

Our stay at James and Ciara's was just wonderful. As soon as we arrived there were so many thoughtful, luxurious touches that made all the difference after a long day of travel, from lovely smelling diffusers and candles and a roaring fire in the woodburner, to fancy Aesop hand soap and the comfiest pillows and mattress ever. There was also a welcome basket containing some treats such as wine and chocolate and Ciara's incredible homemade Irish soda bread. This is the kind of stuff that really makes a difference when staying in an Airbnb! The place was also spotlessly clean and everything was of very high quality. From the get go their communication was super prompt and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, always offering help, advice and recommendations. J&C are some of the nicest and warmest people you'll ever meet. We also got to meet some of their animals which our daughter LOVED, and the setting and outlook from the cottage is just beautiful. One of the best Airbnbs out there!

What a little gem. The old stables tiny house is everything you wish for. Cozy, private and very quiet. Best of all, the beautiful area around it. The place is fully equipped with everything that you might need, especially the kitchen. And Terry is a friendly host. Enjoyed every minute and would always come back.

There were 6 of us on a hiking trip. The house was perfect for what we wanted. The location is fabulous for going out at night, but nice and peaceful. Parking right outside the door. There were plenty of sheets, towels, cutlery, crockery etc. The house was very clean.

Location was out of this world. We were very lucky with the weather too. It was one to remember.

Absolutely beautiful home out in the country. The kitchen was large enough for 7 adults and there was both a washer and dryer. The beds were comfy and everything was just lovely. Sean met us and had everything ready for our arrival. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Majella’s place was perfect for my family of 5. It had every amenity listed. The location was beautiful and private, it was easy to find. If we’re able to come back we would love to stay here again.

This was our 2nd stay in Teresa's cottage and was equally as enjoyable as the first. The cottage has everything you could need for your stay. The place was spotless but the highlight is the most comfortable superking bed that ive ever slept in! The views from the cottage are stunning and a 2 minute was takes you to a beautiful beach and walks.

Aiden's House is a great place to stay. It’s spacious, well-equipped, and we especially loved the patio where we could relax and listen to music on the excellent vinyl collection. The decoration is also very nice, with many spectacular photos of nearby landscapes. Aiden was very responsive and helped us a lot during our stay. We highly recommend it.

Absolutely fab . Fantastic location within walking distance to everything. We attended a wedding in Ashford and it was just perfect . Sinead was fantastic . Couldn't meet a nicer person . The Hen House is a magical little place to stay. There are three donkeys. Robert is a friendly and hospitable host. The floors are heated. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The location is quiet and a quick drive to numerous beaches and Sligo town. Did I mention the donkeys?!

Beautiful apartment, clean and great location. Sarah was very responsive to messages. Great location and beautiful setting on the lake.

We loved our stay and would definitely come back. The cottage was set in such a stunning location. We enjoyed our time inside and out. A great spot for anyone wanting to enjoy the peace, quiet, and beautiful scenery. The cottage itself was adorable, clean, and comfortable.

The pictures don’t do it justice, the little house is stunning! We enjoyed the house and the backyard and Molly the cat came visiting regularly. No direct access to the beach, it is a short walk or drive away, just like the supermarket. A tiny bathroom. A complete kitchen to prepare your own food, fresh fruit on the table. As advertised, internet was not really functioning. Would I stay here again? Definitely yes!

If you're looking to spend a few days in the Irish countryside, Breda's place is the perfect choice. It's a separate private studio, with everything you need, including a private patio with amazing views of the countryside and lake. Amazing sunsets are free of charge. Since you're staying in the country, that means taking a taxi back and forth each day, so plan ahead. It's only a 10-15 min taxi ride, and we didn't have any problems securing one for the ride into town each day with the Freenow taxi app. Breda's communication was top notch from start to finish, and we would definitely stay here again during our next trip to Galway.

We had a fantastic stay at Susan and Leo’s apartment! It was perfect for a week of hiking in Connemara, so convenient to everything we wanted to do. Spotlessly clean, bright and airy, this was one of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed at. We very much enjoyed afternoon downtime in this relaxing environment after our hikes. The bed was super comfy. Many extra touches provided a real feeling of welcome here. Being able to wash our sweaty hiking gear was a bonus! It was hot and very sunny our whole week—not typical in Ireland. Definitely appreciated the bedroom fan! We would love to come back here again, and will recommend it to our traveling friends and family. Thank you Susan and Leo!

Booking was a breeze. Contacted the hosts beforehand and they were extremely helpful in narrowing down a date and a check-in time. When we arrived, Dermot was there to greet us and showed us to our place of stay. He made sure that we felt welcomed and if we needed anything at all, not to be afraid to give him a shout. Dermot helped us with organising a take-away and also with setting up the fire and heater. Area was beautiful and peaceful with stunning views of the Ox Mountains range. The barn was far bigger than I expected, with lots of room and everything you could need. Overall, was a very enjoyable experience and would highly recommend it.

As advertised. We had a nice relaxing stay. If you’re looking to unplug for a weekend in a rural area , in a rustic cabin, this is for you. It is not a hotel but glamping but pictures were accurate. Communication was great but be aware no wi fi and cell service didn’t work for us. Hunter the dog guided us on a nice nature walk.

We had a fabulous time staying here, the cabin is beautiful, very modern and fully equipped and the hot tub was fabulous. We were a large group so we took the Lakeside apartment next door as well so we had the whole area to ourselves which was brilliant. The private entrance is great and there are lots of picnic benches around the gardens as well as the outdoor dining area at the front of the cabin. We loved the patio doors in the bedroom and waking up to stunning view of the lough and the mountains. Mary was so friendly and helpful and gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We hope to go back again over the summer.

Collanmore Island Lodge is unreal, couldn't recommend it more! We had the best stag weekend ever here and Ciaran is a absolute gent. Getting to the island is easy and exciting, beds are comfy and facilities are top notch. Ideal for big family gatherings or any type of West of Ireland getaway. I will be back again for sure, thank you Ciaran and your great team.

Gorgeous property, very clean and even bigger in person than in pictures. The sauna is lovely however we weren’t able to use the hot tub as it wouldn’t heat even after a strong fire and a few hours and we weren’t able running out of wood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grattan Holiday Apartments, car parking out the back, spacious rooms, well-equipped kitchen and within walking distance to the beach, local pubs and restaurants. It's about a 20 minute walk into Galway city and taxi back is around €10. Highly recommend a stay here. Sean and Cathal are on hand if you need them and will recommend places to visit and eat
