Excellent ! Magnifique vue à 360 sur la plage très ressourçant au calme tout en étant proche des commodites et restaurant de Ahangama. Je recommande absolument si vous êtes de passage dans le sud. Accès à une petit plage et vue sur un îlet.

We stayed here for 12 nights and it was absolutely lovely. The listing doesn’t tell you but there are hosts on the property who take excellent care of you as well! Lakmal and his family cooked all our meals, did our washing and kept the place very clean. They even sorted a car for us during our time there. They were so lovely and amazing with our 2 year old who absolutely loved them! The property is in a brilliant location, close by to Weligama (15 minute walk to the beach). It is just like the photos and extremely clean, Lakmal and his family also cleaned it regularly whilst we were there and provided us with anything we requested. I would definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a quieter property outside of the busy Weligama but close enough to enjoy it during the daytime.

Our stay in Weligama was truly relaxing and peaceful. Nestled by a gently flowing river, the serene surroundings offered a perfect escape from the rush of daily life. The natural beauty all around added to the charm, and the location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk or drive to stunning beaches and a variety of amazing cafes. Whether we wanted to unwind in nature or explore the vibrant coastal scene, everything was close by. A perfect spot to relax and enjoy your vacation.

A Perfect Getaway – Wish We Stayed Longer! We stayed at Swell Shacks for 2 days and honestly, our only regret was not booking a longer stay! From the moment we arrived, the place gave off such warm and welcoming vibes. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely out of this world — every bite was a treat! The views from the property were breathtaking, and everything looked exactly like the photos online (if not better!). My friend and I enjoyed every bit of our time there, especially at the swimming area, which was such a peaceful and fun experience. The location is another highlight — just a short walk to the beach, which made everything even more special. The weather was amazing during our stay, and the entire place was super clean and well-maintained. Overall, Swell Shacks gave us the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and relaxation — all at an affordable price. We loved it and will definitely be coming back soon!

Das Hotel war eines der besten Unterkünfte in unseren Zeit auf Sri Lanka. Das Zimmer war wie beschrieben, extrem sauber und das Bad war für sri lankische Verhältnisse außergewöhnlich modern. Der Blick aufs Meer und das Geräusch der Wellen war super schön und das Frühstück hat uns auch gut geschmeckt. Wir haben nicht damit gerechnet dass täglich geputzt wird, darüber waren wir auch positiv überrascht. Alles in allem 5 Sterne für dieses Hotel, das ist es nun mal auch. Man darf keinen persönlichen Kontakt mit dem Vermieter erwarten wie in einem Homestay.

Nuestra ultima estancia en nuestro viaje por Sri Lanka fue en este alojamiento. Nos sentimos como en casa. Fueron muy amables con nosotros, tanto dándonos buenas indicaciones como siendo flexibles con el horario de salida, ya que uno de nuestros vuelos se retrasó. Nos ayudó a encontrar transporte al aeropuerto. En el propio alojamiento tiene restaurante donde podrás desayunar comida deliciosa. Nos fuimos muy contentos y agradecidos, lo recomendamos 100%.

Just returned from one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. The villa is lovely, location is excellent and what made it even better was Kumar and the team who made our stay so very special! We were a party of 8 with 4 kids and did excursions every day. Thanks to the recommendations and organisations of Kumar, we did everything from whale watching, cooking class, tea plantation, turtle hatchery, surf lessons, beach clubs and a Galle tour. What also made the stay amazing, was the quality of the food! We had a very varied menu for picky eaters, sea food bbq, specialised curries and Italian food, all delicious and prepared beautifully! The location is also incredible with amazing views, little private beach and walking distance to jungle beach and easy tuktuk rides to loads of amenities and activities. Honestly cannot recommend this place enough!
