Powered from both solar panels and hydro turbines, this place is as "off-the-grid" as it gets. We look forward to having you stay!
“It was amazing time! Place just outstanding from what we experienced before. It is beurtifull match of stile and comfort. Everything in the house was clean and tidy. We found cute bottle of the fresh milk in the fridge. Bath was great experience with such a beautiful view and trees around. Will be happy to come back and will definitely come back!”
Our home is located on State Highway 45, 20 mins drive south of New Plymouth. We offer a warm and comfortable double room, shared use of kitchen, lounge dining area, bathroom and laundry. Located a few minutes drive from some of the best surf breaks the North Island has to offer. Only a few minutes walk from cafes, fish and chip store and supermarket, and a few minutes drive from the coast, forests, and gardens. Our location is en route to the Mt Taranaki walking tracks.
“Spent an amazing couple of nights at Wendy’s beautiful home in New Plymouth. We were arriving later at night and Wendy was so hospitable waiting for us and making sure we were settled with cups of tea and towels for a shower. She had heaps of recommendations for cool things to do in the area and made us feel so welcomed. We woke up to breakfast things out for us each morning and a nice note wishing us a good day. We loved getting to chat and spend some time with Wendy and would recommend a stay here to anyone”
Lovely Bach in a beautiful coastal setting, located a stone’s throw from State Highway 45, the renowned Surf Highway. An adventure playground on your doorstep or just an amazing Bach to relax and chill. Views of Mt Taranaki out one side and the ocean out the other.
“With views of the ocean waves from the front of the house and views of the mountain from the other side of the house, this was a great place to stay. We enjoyed using the outdoor bath and the fire pit. The bach was warm (thanks to the indoor fireplace) and comfortable. The location was good - close to New Plymouth and various beaches along the coast. Our kids actually enjoyed not having wifi. We played board games instead of them using their devices, and toasted marshmallows over the outside fire.”
