Absolutely amazing place with welcoming and relaxed hosts! We were here for a writing retreat, for which the place was wonderful, but I could definitely see myself spending a week or two during the holidays. Go there, stay there!

Perfect summer house to escape city life! Highly recommended for those seeking a slow, relaxing lifestyle. The hosts, Jack and Maria, are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their small dog adds even more charm. They were generous and helpful—solving issues like extra mattresses, showing us how to use the sauna, offering fresh vegetables from their garden, and even helping when we had trouble getting back to the cabin. The location is convenient: you can take a bus to Orminge Centrum (with Systembolaget, Willy’s, etc.), and the SL ferry is just 700m away, taking you to Slussen or Vaxholm. The lake is only a 5-minute walk away. Best for people who want to enjoy cabin life and take it slow.🥰 My mistake: I had my family stay here but planned daily trips to Stockholm, which made them tired. Also, with lots of luggage, Bolt rides were costly and hard to book. It’s not that close to the city—either take 3 buses (~1 hr) or walk 700m to the ferry (~1 hr total), with limited schedules.

A beautiful typical Swedish house as we wished. Fantastic location with a great view. We immediately felt at home. The child and dog were also very enthusiastic. The house is fully equipped with everything you need. Due to the annex, you really have plenty of space and the property is very large with many small places where you can enjoy the view and unwind. It's just a 2-minute walk to the water and the bathing jetty. The nearest supermarket is about 10 minutes by car and Stockholm about 1 hour. We were there for 2 weeks and will be back for sure. Cozy cottage on Yxlan. We were four adults and two small children, the cottage had everything we needed and it was very close to the sea.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful house. The location is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. Nevertheless, Stockholm and some nature reserves are easily accessible by car or bus. However, we used the well-equipped kitchen and the grill, so we cannot comment on restaurants. From our point of view, we highly recommend a stay!

Lots of windows. Beautiful light. Very minimalistic atmosphere which gave a calm and peaceful feeling. Cozy front room with windows, daybed and surrounding views of boats passing by was perfect for coffee and relaxation. Elisabet is an excellent, responsive and kind host. While you cannot take a car there, they have two hand carts available to use when you arrive. If you don’t mind walking, it is a good walk with your suitcases in the carts from the ferry to the home and you’ll get a lot of wildlife, animals and things to see. We enjoyed the nature. Water everywhere. The sunsets were beautiful. Private beach to use (visible to everyone but not available). A sweet market just down the hill with almost everything you may need for a few days. A boat, kayak, SUPs and linens for rent—ask to reserve them ahead of your stay. We loved the experience.

We stayed with our two sons for five nights at Toms appartment and felt immediately at home. It had everything we needed, many things to visit nearby and just down the street. Tom and Sunnöve asked in advance if we feel comfortable. Our great plus was the rooftop terrace. We loved sitting there in the evening, having a glas of wine and watching the silouhette of Stockholm. It was a great place for 3 of us. We were able to walk or take public transportation to most places.

Charming home with updated amenities in the perfect location to explore Stockholm. Bella was a very welcoming and helpful host. She provided information on all of her favorite places. We enjoyed every moment of our stay.

Thank you to our hosts for a great stay near Stockholm. It was 20-25 minutes by car to go visit the city. The area was a nice quiet neighborhood and accommodated our family of 5. Great kitchen and space to eat together and relax. The area was great for running as well.

A beautiful apartment, spacious and in the perfect location to tour Stockholm

Magnus was an excellent communicator and his place was as described. The location was great and we walked everywhere because the weather was beautiful. We did a bike tour, the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and ate a lot of great food! It was so nice to come back to a comfy apartment to relax. The washer/dryer was a nice benefit as we prepared for our next journey. Thank you for a great stay Magnus!

The house is a dream - even better than we expected! Great view with sea view through a large panoramic window from the living area and from the terrace, idyllic surroundings with stylish Swedish houses, absolutely quiet and many beautiful destinations easily accessible nearby. The house is very well and stylishly furnished, nothing is missing. Hanna and Jonas are very friendly and helpful landlords, we have rarely felt so comfortable on vacation! Thanks u so much!

Per’s lake house is very beautiful and made us want to come back to Sigtuna! It’s very serene and walkable to a small commercial street in Sigtuna. We drove from Stockholm in an electric car and the house has an electric charger. The views from the living room are unforgettable. Per is very responsive too! I highly recommend!

Frida was fantastic both before and throughout our stay. Responded quickly and was always flexible with our requests. The house was beautifully located and had everything you wanted for a girls' weekend. Would love to come back here another time.

Lennart and Chicki's house is a stunning stay. The view is just amazing and sitting watching the boats go by was so calming and relaxing. it's not far to drive to Saltsjõbaden where there are restaurants and cafes and a supermarket. It's best to have a car to stay here. The fact that it's slightly off the beaten path is the thing that makes it so special. The house has everything you need - comfy beds, great shower, big outdoor area, nice kitchen. Chicki was great to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks for the lovely stay 🙂

A great stay with incredible views and a very cosy space. We really appreciated the tranquility, the private feeling and Stora Jakutsin on the terrace – a perfect place to relax and unwind. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond. We will definitely book again!
