Casa do Engenho is located in Braga, on the first line of the Adaúfe River beach, considered one of the best river beaches in the country, where it is safe to swim, canoe/paddle, fish or simply relax. The observation of the fauna around the House (otters, herons, crayfish, etc.) and the old Mill and Irrigation Plantation (still in operation) delight those who pass through here. The house dates back to 1843 and, although renovated, retains some traces of the period.

It is situated in a family farm, however it is situated in a way to have privacy and independence. It was the former home of the caretakers that was undergoing changes in order to be comfortable and pleasant to spend a few days of rest.
