We immediately felt comfortable, well received and almost at home. The house is just too beautiful to not have immediately taken it to heart. We will always remember the conversations with guests from different countries. The beach is within walking distance and there are numerous restaurants in Burgau, all not far away. We were also lucky enough to accompany Sally to a fado evening in the restaurant at the zoo. A wonderful evening with music and excellent food. Thank you to Sally for this evening. At this point, I would also like to greet the guests we talked to at breakfast. Best wishes to the nice couple from Slovakia and the nice, cheerful family from Switzerland with their twins. Thanks to everyone in Casa Grande for beautiful days in Burgau and for making the time unforgettable for us.

We had a great time staying at Ema's! She responded super quickly, we didn't miss anything and we had access to everything we needed. The location is perfect for surfing, close to Tonel and close to Mareta! We will definitely be back! :)

A really special place with lots of charm& great staff! We enjoyed our stay here and felt very comfortable. There was a delicious breakfast in a very special atmosphere. If you are looking for luxury & immaculate cleanliness, you will definitely not be happy here, as the house is outdated & smells accordingly and cobwebs could be found here and there. But all in all a really great place to stay in a cozy & family atmosphere with very very good value for money!

Had a great time at this place! A really peaceful spot and perfect for if you want to do a bit of surfing as the surf school operates out of the same building. The communal areas were super nice and clean and breakfast every morning was a great bonus. The bars and restaurants of Sagres are an easy walk from the lodge, and they were a lot of fun. The team was very helpful and were easy to reach for any questions we had. Everyone was super friendly and had the right vibes I would expect from a surfer's lodge! Already planning for my visit here next year, thank you very much :)

We had a wonderful stay at Nelly’s bed and breakfast. Never have we slept in a wind mill before, is was beautiful! Great host, very welcoming, we felt right at home. Breakfast in the morning was perfect! We are sad we only stayed one night, would definitely come here again!

The room we stayed in was great, clean, quiet, and although we had to share a bathroom all went very well. There was no waiting to use any facilities, a 2nd loo being provided for guests to use. Breakfast was at an hour that you chose and Andrea gave some great advice as to where to hike, which was not provided on the tourist brochures. All in all a delightful stay. Perfect too if you want surfing information.

House as atypical as it is welcoming, Sally and her team do everything to make you feel at home. Special mention for the shared breakfast with all the guests which is a real moment of sharing and exchange. A real change of scenery within this very calm and authentic house.
