Amazing house and surroundings. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Plenty of hiking trails from the garden, beautiful views, beach and shops within driving distance. It is also a beautiful area there, especially to drive through. The house has everything you need and is actually even better than the description. Communication with Gunnar and Ingrid is great, there is always a quick response. We would love to come back!

The place is as described. Well-functioning house with everything you could need. In the middle of the forest, right down to the lake. Great dialogue with host.

It's our second visit with Ingrid, we were there in late October 2024 and we felt so much at home that when we had to find a destination of 3 nights for our little Easter holiday, it was an easy choice. We've had some wonderful days and Ingrid is very hospitable and had decorated for Easter.

We visited Skälsnäs Gård for Easter with our two children of 1 and 4, and we had a great time. We haven't lived in a house with so much soul before, and we felt so comfortable. It's the perfect getaway for kids who love to play, both inside and out. The nature is very beautiful and the surroundings were quiet and idyllic. The house is older, but the kitchen and bathroom are equipped with modern amenities, and it was easy to cook for the family. Vaxjo is the main town nearby and it takes about 30 min by car. Cozy town with good bakeries and cafes. Since there are no shopping opportunities close by, we recommend making a meal plan so you don't have to shop every day. There is a water park (Actic) that our kids loved and we visited twice. The place is easy to find and the host was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Very nice place to stay directly at the lake. Very pleasant and accommodating host, supported us immediately with questions. Cozy, simple but completely adequately furnished apartment. Great sauna with lake view. Great terrace right on the lake. Glad to come back!

Fabulous location, with lake views from the cabin. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Calm, peaceful spot in the Swedish landscape. Cabin is cozy, charming, with everything you need.

Thank you, Johannes, for giving us the chance to stay at this wonderful piece of land. We spent almost all our time on the river fishing all kinds of fish. That gave us new energy and a very close contact to nature. It was the second time we were here and we will come back even a third time when it is possible.

We had a lovely stay. Ane welcomed us at her nicely decorated farm. The cabins, the kitchen and the bathroom were super clean, totally equipped and in a very good shape. And Ane and her husband are simply five star hosts that care about the wellbeing of their guests.

Nice little house which is very quiet. Paddle boat and rowboat were accessible at all times! Bicycles were also available! The owners are very nice and helpful and have their own summer house right in front of the cottage!
