Bashi's place was very beautiful, even better in real. The breakfast was amazing. House itself was clean, warm and welcoming. Surroundings are beautiful, and pathway to house is adventurous as you have to walk via train tracks. Bashi was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Very affordable and nice place to stay if you’re going to a safari at Udawalawe national park. The staff is also extremely welcoming and made our one night stay something extra!

we had a great time at Anjelos place which was peaceful and quiet yet really close by to Ella. the playground is a nice bonus for our little one to play in. we would definitely come back!

My partner and I stayed in a glamping tent at Ella Retreat. It has been a fantastic experience and an amazing opportunity to connect with nature. The room within the tent is beautiful and has all the amenities that you will need including a bathroom with warm water, comfortable bed and breath taking views (in tent 1). The bathroom is private and situated just next to the tent. The hotel is situated in the jungle just outside of Ella (around 10 minutes outside of Ella town which can be easily accessed by tuktuk). During our stay, Danushka arranged for us a tuk tuk to take us to and from the city, free of charge. The food here has been excellent and Danushka goes above and beyond to make you feel safe, at home and comfortable. We also had a chance to try our archery at the retreat. The most amazing thing is the night. Make sure you open your window blinds so you can watch the fireflies in the evening. There is also the sound of insects and bats which we found very peaceful. Peaceful and magic cottage, I like the stone walls and the kitchen concept separated from the rooms, you are in the middle of a tea plantation with beautiful views of the mountains, place very clean and with good taste in furniture, the ladies ( mother and daughter ) who take care of the property are the ones who labor on the tea plantation, amazing human beings, they don’t speak English but you only need your heart to comunícate, I recommend Dhanu the son’s lady which have a beautiful TukTuk which is always available to take you to town or wherever you want around. Anytime I come back to Ella sure I will choose this magical cottage.

Meena Ella bungalow is a beautiful house with lots of character and history. If you're a history and colonial architecture fan, this is the one for you. Standing proudly over a century, it is conveniently located within walking distance of the Hakgala Botanical Gardens. The house itself has a beautiful garden and a fantastic mountain view at the back. The wood burner fireplace is an excellent area for family chit-chat and board games for kids. It's mind-blowing; the thought process has gone to get the natural light through skylight windows. Rooms get sunlight as early as 6 am. We initially booked for three nights and ended up extending one more night. We were three families consisting of twelve people. Each room has its own bathroom, which was a bonus. Finally, if you're looking for accommodation around Nuwara Eliya, want to avoid the city, and love vintage houses and furniture, this is the place for you. Full credit goes to the Chaminda's family for preserving this majestic house.

Firstly, a big thanks to Rumesh - the host for making our stay memorable. The place is good as per the description but the road to get to this stay is really tricky and rocky roads. Everytime you have to step out you will need a tuk tuk which will be arranged by Rumesh upon request but the journey is quite tiring and it takes about 25-30 mins to get to the main road. Apart from this we loved our stay. It's quiet and peaceful. The views were mesmerizing. Also, Kanna the house help is extremely friendly and helpful. They also have a cook who prepared delicious meals for us upon request

the place was beautifully situated at the mountain peak in Victora golf club with a view of the golf course and surrounding water reservoir. The chef at the property cooks really amazing food and the both the staff were really helpful and took good care of us with a smile on the face. Host was also very resposive in communication and offered complementary dinner for us since Jacuzzi was not working due to technical fault. overalls it was a very pleasant experience
