Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Upper Franconia

We had a fantastic experience staying in Susanne's room for two nights. Franzi, who welcomed us, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location of the place was a pleasant surprise, just a 2-minute walk from the castle and 5 minutes from the markets. Thurnau itself is a hidden gem, with its beautiful castle and picturesque lake. The local market on Sundays offered delicious food and handcrafts, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this Airbnb and would love to visit again!

very, very nice place overlooking the castle. Room 6 has the most beautiful view and perfect distance to the bathroom and kitchen. At night, however, you can hear the tires on the cobble paving. Who likes it even quieter, maybe take one of the other rooms?

Super well located, really friendly and helpful communication, very clean and significantly more than we expected! We'd love to come back, should be in the area again!

The small guesthouse of Antonia and Moritz was ideal for our short business stay in Bad Elster, the room and bathroom was very clean and functionally furnished. The small inconsistencies after the online check-in were very accommodating. We'll be happy to come back.

Bettina was an excellent host. We had to look for something spontaneously and stayed at her place for one night. The communication went great and we got a quick response. The bathroom was very clean and there is really nothing missing here. Everything was provided, including guest bathrobes, towels, shampoo, etc. We were greeted in the room with a welcome sign and snacks. The breakfast was simply great and rich. We felt like we were in a hotel with personal flair :) Thank you so much for your hospitality, dear Bettina!

Our stay was very nice! Although other guests were there we had peace and the pool to ourselves. The hotel is on the slope, you have to have a car. Breakfast was great for us for the price of the hammer. You have an all-around beautiful stay here!

A very nice guesthouse that basically offers all that one also in one (min. 3 stars) Hotel would be in advance. Even breakfast was served, which I had not even paid attention to during the booking. Otherwise, train station, restaurants, spa facilities, an outdoor swimming pool and also the beautiful Upper Franconian nature are within walking distance. I highly recommend it.
